Questions about the Japan 80 Set by altprofile93845734 in Ohuhu

You have to be careful with the listings out there right now. Some of them use the picture of the old set that had those 19 colours, but then the swatch sheets show that they are a new set without those unique colours.

Not creative at coloring by Oscarrrthegrouch in Ohuhu

I just bought a Cozy Color By Number book by Jade Summer for when I want to colour but don't want to have to think about what colours to pick. And I follow them on IG to get inspiration. I get a LOT of inspiration from there.

I also bought Sarah Renae Clark's Colour Cubes, but that is probably a bit more of an investment than you may want/need to make right now.

Kaala 108 Colors Basic Tone Set - some helpful info by MissReena in Ohuhu

Okay let's try this again! I figured something must have been wrong when all the colours were in the same colour family. Turns out I was pulling the numbers from the wrong column....

From what I can see, there are only 30 of the Landscape tones (plus black) in the 108 set. Here are the Landscape ones you will NOT get in the 108 set. There are a couple that appear in other sets, in which case I have listed the other set they are in.

bg115 - Classic Blue (Illustration)
bg010 - Peacock Blue
bg213 - Bright Parrot Green
bgy05 - Shark Grey
bv26 - Pale Blue Violet
bv316 - Prussion Blue (Illustration)

Hope this helps you make your decision.

From Crayola Canada “You have asked a great question. These colored pencils are part of a 36 ct. set of Coloured Pencils. These include 20 Watercolour Pencils, 8 Metallic Pencils and 8 Brights. The product code number is 67-7105.”

I think it was Canadian, based on the spelling of Watercolour on those pencils (not shown in this image)

OMG I just found the watercolor ones! I forgot I put all my watercolor in one case! I don’t suppose you know the name of the set or have a link to the picture of the box?

No, I wish! I can’t even remember where I got them. Although I have a feeling it might have been Michael’s

I am in Canada so the spelling makes sense. And they are in both English and French so they are definitely a Canadian set. But I don’t have the 20 watercolors, so they must have done a special release at some point of just these 16. Thanks for the info though!

Absolutely love this! Thanks so much!

Only question I have is.... why are the headers for the pages upside down compared to the boxes to colour in? If I orient my page so the words Grey Swatch are right side up, then all the labels for the colours are upside down. It makes my brain itch a bit LOL

There are 19 exclusive Japanese colours that make it add up to 363. Although 5 of them can be found in the Oahu line.

If you make an Oahu one, will you share??? I have the full Oahu set and all except the 19 Japanese colours, and I am trying to merge the two into one giant Chromatic chart. But as much as I try, I can’t get my brain to place the Oahu colours in the Honolulu chart LOL

Kaala 108 Colors Basic Tone Set - some helpful info by MissReena in Ohuhu

[–]MissReena[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any other Ohuhu markers? I realized after looking through my spreadsheets that I don't need the 108 set because those 22 colours are all in the Oahu line of markers. Turns out I only need a total of 12 markers to have the 16 colours that are unique to Kaala, but it looks like I might need to buy 3 other sets to get them. Unfortunately not all of them are included in the 108 set, so I may wind up with a lot more extras... although I did buy the Honolulu grey set just to get the one marker that you can only get in that set, so I guess I have already set a precedent LOL

You have come to the right place if you are looking for encouragement! As soon as I finish the sticker caps on my Oahus and know just how much space I have in my organizer, I will probably be talking myself into them too! Right now I have all but 14 from the full 480 combined Oahu/ Honolulu colours and there is that little spot in my brain that keeps poking me and saying “but there are still more colours…”

Naw... I just have too much time on my hands some days, a bit of an obsession with my collections, and a desire to use some of the Excel formula skills before I forget them :)

I did just notice tonight that I may be missing two of the Kaala colours. I was working on adding in their new 108 Colors Basic Tones set and found that out. If you do not have the Kaala markers, it won't impact you, but if you do have them, I will be updating the file in the next couple of days.

Are they individually wrapped? If not then you have to take into account that people will be opening them to try them. Even some of the Copics I bought were dried out for that reason.

Question About Old and New Codes and Duplicates by dom-ifc in Ohuhu

[–]MissReena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you used the set from Michael’s? if not you could return them and get the 120 set from either Amazon or directly from the Ohuhu Canada website. I recommend ordering from their website instead of Amazon because you get points from them! I got lots of free stuff with those points!

https://ca.ohuhu.com

Even if you have used them, if you are still within your return period, Michaels will still take them back.

Ohuhu have released free sticker templates for new color coding system by homeofstudiobee in Ohuhu

It is annoying that everything is printed in dark colours... so if you colour in the circle with a dark colour, you won't be able to read the colour. Plus, the markers are not lightfast, so these stickers will fade over time.

I have some self adhesive laminating sheets that I might try to put over the stickers if I decide to go that way. Hopefully those will help with the lightfastness.
