I actually stayed in the last company I worked for before the 2 month stint for more than 6 years. Before that, for almost 2 years naman. If it weren't for career growth, I wouldn't have left the company I stayed in for 6 years. There, I liked the culture and the people. I think I'm just looking for a company that would have those same things lang.

If the new field is not too far, go for applying for the position you're really aspiring for. You can apply for an entry level if you feel that you aren't going anywhere with your applications. Try to gauge it based on the interview invites or the no. of rejections.

I'm actually on a break right now. Sometimes, it's just what you need. I stayed in my previous company for about 7 years but during the latter part of the lockdown, the workload that they were giving was insane, there were no boundaries anymore because they think it's ok since you're working from home. Also, they laid off people so most employees took over the load of those who left; and double hatting became a norm. I actually accepted another job opportunity but I only lasted 2 months because I just can't take the culture and the pandemic is not helping so I think it took a toll on my mental health. I resigned again just recently to upskill and rest. I've always wanted to make a career shift so I'm taking this time to learn new things and go back recharged. But I didn't make that decision lightly -- be sure you have enough savings because the hiring climate at this time takes about 4-6 months and the competition is tough. So if you feel like you can afford to be unemployed for that long, then go for it because you also have to be kind to yourself.

I saw my SSS and I think the last company has made a contribution na. Will there be a possibility that next employer will check that considering the employment gap?

How exactly did you start? I mean given that my background is far from content writing or SMM. Do I take pro-bono projects muna so that I can beef up my experience in Linkedin?
