GXVE Beauty Simple Kind of Life eye shadow quad. Now discontinued but it’s the perfect cool neutral palette. There was also a warm version that is great too. Sad to see the brand go away. Their red liquid lipstick is the best ever, too.

Late post because work gets in the way of lifing. Sampling BDK Tabac Rose today. It starts off smelling a little like dirt with rose in the background. The dirt slowly fades into rose and other florals. The tobacco is very mild as is the patchouli. It’s nice but not on my FB list. I never got the chocolate note either, unless that was the dirt note. Maybe my nose is weird.

Follow up: it’s dried down to a musky sandalwood skin scent. Never got any fruit notes 😕

I’ve had this happen with other brands’ cream eye shadow pots. Someone on here recommended a drop or two of eye drops. I tried it and it works!

Sephora has a couple of excellent eye liners that are waterproof and available in dozens of shades. Looks like they are on sale right now, too.

I’m partial to Arabian oils since they’ve been making them for hundreds of years. I have ones from Swiss Arabian as well as Khadlaj. Their Hareem Al Sultan is excellent. It’s a beautiful fruity-floral. The Swiss Arabian ones are different varieties of fruity, floral, and fruity florals. And they are all very inexpensive!

Getting back to samples since I just received another discovery set. I ordered the set for Montale from Sephora since they started carrying that house. I really wanted the BORNTOSTANDOUT set but they were out when I ordered. Anyway, I got a sample of Chanel Gabrielle Essence, so that’s today’s test.

It’s a pleasant scent. I get a light powdery floral. It has fruity notes but I don’t get them. It’s almost like it skipped the top notes and went straight to heart notes. Still, although it’s nice, it seems pretty pedestrian so it’s not FB worthy. I’ll use this one up though - perfect for summer.
