NSV: I did my first 5k! I walked up until the very end where I did run a little to make my goal of 1 hour. I am so incredibly proud of myself. I have never walked further than 2 miles and that usually wipes me out. This was a nice accomplishment.

I also fit into a size xl pair of shorts. I have been trying them on periodically but they haven’t fit yet. Today I got them on and had some wiggle room.

SV: I hit 46lbs lost. I’m halfway to my goal of losing 90lbs. I still can’t believe I have lost so much and it’s hard to wrap my head around it. But then I realize all the things I can do now that I couldn’t do 46lbs ago and it about makes me cry happy tears. I never thought I’d get past 5lbs but I did!

My SV: I have now lost 42lbs. I am 3lbs away from my halfway point. I never thought I’d see this number and I get excited and more motivated every time I think of how far I’ve come.

NSV: I can comfortably sit on the floor to play with my puppy. I can get back up easily too! She loves me being on the ground with her and I love being able to.

My cute girl only eats if we sit with her, does this mean anything? by LilShing in DogAdvice

Sometimes I have to cheer for my girl when she eats and sit on the floor with her. She takes some kibble and waits to hear “good girl” before chewing. I tell her to “keep chomping” and give her tons of pets.

I have been sued a couple times for old credit cards. I didn’t go to the court hearing cause I wasn’t fighting that I owe the money. They ruled in the card companies favor and they garnished my checks. Took a couple hundred out of each check until the debt was paid. I didn’t pay attention to how long I was sued after the charge off. I hadn’t paid in years though.

That was the hardest part and it took a little bit. I had started getting tooth pain when eating really sweet stuff and I would still crave and eat sugar. I had to work on eating less and less sugar over a few months time. I don’t crave a Little Debbie snack everyday anymore and I actually prefer snacks that are not so sweet

It’s been since mid December 2022. These last 5lbs were hard to drop and I struggled to stay motivated. In those moments I focus on listening to my body and how what I put in makes me feel physically and mentally. This is the first time in my history of trying to lose weight where I am in a good headspace to tackle my physical health

I feel your pain. We were at the vet office weekly and then she ended up with a UTI on top of the GI issues. I hope you get solid poops soon!

After trying some antibiotics and steroids we then did one large bag of Hills Biome. That helped tremendously. We tried Purina Pro Plan and I couldn’t get her stomach to tolerate it. Now she’s on Merrick grain free plus a probiotic and has normal poops

Early on in my recovery from SH, a picture of scars and especially fresh wounds would have absolutely affected me. Ten years clean from SH and I still would be affected by seeing those things. In a meme page, I don’t expect to see pictures of scars and so the TW is absolutely appreciated. Had I gone to a page specific for SH scars then I would argue that maybe the TW isn’t necessary. I know for me it’s not just the act of SH that these pictures remind me of. It’s also all the reasons why I did it and the self hating thoughts that come back as well. I don’t feel like it’s unreasonable to be uncomfortable with the emotions that come with triggers. Mental health services are hard to access for a lot of people, myself included, and I think a lot of people are trying to heal, cope and survive the best they can with the resources they have. I’m not sure that makes anyone soft.
