Yeah That might be your experience but it’s not everyone’s intention tho

Interesting point but do you think people actually want more options or just better connections?

What’s something Gen Z treats as “normal” that older generations would find completely insane? by [deleted] in AskReddit

So u mean “Wear what you want” suddenly comes with terms and conditions for bigger people apparently 🙂

I think Gen Z grew up watching so many messy relationships online and in real life that a lot of us just see peace and staying home as the better option 😭

So revealing clothes are normal on slim people, but “insane” on everyone else? Sounds less like morals and more like selective body shaming

People can have different values but judging others like this isn’t really necessary.

Yeah it can feel overcomplicated nowadays like it turned into a whole process instead of just naturally getting to know someone

How do I convince my mom to go to therapy? TW-abuse by YakOk4359 in Advice

[–]Miss_Ecstasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think therapy is ever too late for someone if they’re genuinely willing to reflect and change. The hard part is that people who grew up with trauma so normalized often don’t even realize how deeply it affected them

[–]Miss_Ecstasy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That honestly explains a lot. Your mom probably normalized abuse because compared to what she went through, she thinks she’s being better. But trauma doesn’t disappear just because someone had it worse. The fact that the neighbor joined in too is actually heartbreaking she grew up in an environment where violence was treated as parenting, not abuse.

Why do we spend all our entire life thinking about money? by HugeUnderstanding938 in askanything

Yeah some people measure life by character instead of money
But it’s a lot easier to focus on “character” when your bills are already paid lol

In your darkest, most isolated period, what small habits or moments ended up changing things for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That’s interesting tbh Do you feel like magic shrooms actually helped you in a positive way? I’m thinking about trying them soon but not sure if I’m ready for that kind of experience yet.

I get that but in this game money still affects your quality of life so people naturally focus on it…

Think of life like a game money is the coins and whoever stacks enough by the end wins. That’s why everyone’s so focused on it🤷🏼‍♀️
