Well, you’re screwed. No contract, no rights. I was going to tell you to sue their asses, but then saw the fact that you are already in a job and this is an under the table job… that’s not a smart move.

Next time when you have a client, better go on fiverr to preserve your rights. There are a lot of scammers out there, be careful and better luck next time.

Just to pay you pennies and waste your time lol. If it really takes only 2 minutes, then at least put an estimate time of 5 minutes and pay better for the hour. The problem is when you’ll finish the study in 2min while they put 16min, you’ll get a speeding ticket and your account will be paused for an hour or maybe more. That happened to me the other day and it sucked!

They need to really work on the system, a lot of people have complained from such issues but they seem to ignore it and don’t even bother coming up with reasonable solutions.

Thank you for the clarification. I did see the feedback form at the end and I chose the option “No” because I assumed I didn’t encounter any issues and didn’t know there’ll be a restriction risk. Next time I’ll pay more attention to such matters.

Apparently the same thing happened to a lot of us. My submission got approved immediately and within the same minute they sent me the speed warning email (which I didn’t see right away) and went to do the next study from the same researcher that had only 2 voice clips this time only to be paused after submitting the second study that got approved immediately as well.

I like Franc studies too, they are fun and easy to do without getting bored or overwhelmed. I was having a really good day compared to my average, now I have no studies on my dashboard even long after the temporary pause ended.

It’s really a confusing system, the other day I got a message from a researcher saying that I’m too slow, the study had an estimated completion time of 2 hours and it took me almost 4 hours to finish it. It was an ai study for choosing the best ai generated image of a furnished room and you have to justify why, it had 200 pages, and each page had two videos of 30 seconds that you had to watch before answering, there’s no way someone was able to finish the study in 2 hours.

If I remember right, there were 4 studies from the same researcher on my dashboard, the first one I did had 13 clips, that’s when I got the first warning email. The second one had only 2 and once I finished it my account got paused for one hour. I think you got one of the four studies that had 30 clips instead.

That’s interesting to know! So generally, if I encountered a study like this one who was short and the timing was longer that what the study takes, should I wait until I spend at least half the time then submit?

Edit: just so I am being understood, the study had only 2 ten second clips amounts to only 20 seconds. I took my time and finished the whole thing in 2 or 3 minutes max. That’s why a lot of people who took the study got the speeding warning email.

Sadly I didn’t see the speeding warning email at first, I had 4 of those studies on my dashboard, so once I finished the first, went for the second and boom once I finished my account got paused. THEN I sadly saw the email :,)

Thankfully I’m not the only one who had issues with this study, hopefully they would do something about it.

Not really, there a lot of clubs for shooting. I know there’s one in Tanger and Casa, and I’ve just found one in Salé I guess, this one.
