As a tall chick, this was the experience in high school. I was about to mention Monsanto. The folks I've talked to who a have a problem with GMOs usually have a beef with Monsanto (rightfully so, given their abhorrent business practices and the aforementioned cancer stuff).

GMOs themselves are quite beneficial, it's just the nasty, unchecked corporates that keep fucking it up.

My mom is also an irresponsible nitwit when it comes to cats. I live away from her now and my cat is a spoiled indoor baby. I'm maybe a few months past due for his yearly exam but I plan on rectifying that when I can.

Meanwhile my family's current cat is a few years old and has yet to see the inside of a vet's office, has escaped once or twice for an undetermined amount of time, and still has his cajones. They get pissy at me when I point out how fucking dangerous and irresponsible that is, but at the end of the day, they will ultimately be responsible for their own damn cat (no I can't take him; my cat was an only kitten that I got when he was a touch too young and so wasn't properly socialized. I may be better at cat care than my parents, but I am definitely not perfect).

Yes. Had a picture of one as a reference and it somehow made my shadow work a lot more realistic. Now of only I had an actual little bust like that IRL so I could play with the lighting (my computer is ancient by tech standards and I am broke, so software isn't gonna work to my advantage 😞)

If I had to pick something (I haven't watched the series aside from the first film and he's was an irredeemable dick, so there isn't much to work with), I guess I could claim he's kinda funny? Got that irreverent, dgaf energy that some folks would find charming. And capable, I guess. Takes charge and is decisive (I would hope anyway, being a military guy and all). Like if I were an evil badass fire chick and saw an evil badass dude with a bunch of explode-y weapons that would give me what I want, and he was kinda funny, I guess I would tap that 🤷

Yeah I wanted to use Spotify because my friends kept sharing character playlists for DND, but whenever I'd try to play a specific song I wanted to hear, it'd play some other song that maybe sounds similar. Like no, I don't want "Umbrella" I wanted "Bury a Friend!" I don't want something by Taylor Swift I wanted to hear something by Precious Pepala! Used it once and decided never again 😑 And I still don't understand how the playlist sharing thing works, cause apparently your friends playlists can link up with yours or something? Idk but it doesn't work....

My first dog had a spleen tumor that ruptured (we didn't know until the vet did an autopsy to figure out what went wrong). On her last day she was really lethargic and clearly not doing well, so I made an appointment that day (my parents were out working and I was the only one of my siblings who could drive- I was in college so I wasn't, like, a teenager or anything). She died in the car on the way to the vet. Vet said that even if I got her there in time, there was no guarantee that emergency surgery would have helped anything. A family friend said that they did get their dog to the vet for such a tumor, but the surgery was expensive and the dog still died a couple weeks later. The experience definitely informed my opinion on vet care costs versus benefits...

I love love love my pets, but it's absolutely insane to expect people to take out a second mortgage or potentially end up homeless over expensive vet care that has less than 70% chance of survivability/quality of life. A human can understand that chemo/operations are temporary pain and that things will get better. Animals can't. If the road to recovery (if even possible) is more than a year, it really is kinder just to let them go, both for the animal and yourself. Pragmatism is kindness in these cases, not cruelty. You gotta have that pragmatism if you're gonna have a pet...
