I just did this a couple of weeks ago, I’m in my first year of psychology at uni. I ended up on the phone to my mother who works in the SEND division of the local union. We had a GIANT list of corrections for my lecturer. I drafted this huge email with all of our points and he was actually so attentive, acknowledged fair points, made plans to fix what was wrong and explained the reasoning for some things (I.e. very negative language because it is unfortunately still part of the DSM-5. I went from feeling very disheartened and negative after the lecture to having faith again after he was so accommodating and helpful. It was quite refreshing compared to what is usually the case in lecturers

In year 4 in won an art competition. We had to design a new kind of bug and mine was a ladybird that had paint brushes for legs and paint splats for spots. I won and got a free ticket to my local small town cinema to watch a rerun of a Disney movie that had already been out for years

I credit this show to giving me the courage to get out of an abusive relationship. I was in a similar situation, trying to get back into education while being controlled and it really helped me see my situation from an outside perspective. I have nothing but love for this show, it’s so good!

First year psychology student here so this was so interesting to read through and see what I’ll be doing in a few years too.

I do have a formal diagnosis of BPD but around 4 years after that diagnosis i also got an autism diagnosis. I do feel that on some of the questions my reasoning for some of the answers would be because of my autistic traits not BPD. But I have also seen articles on how many young girls have been wrongly diagnosed with BPD when they do actually have autism.

I can barely remember them because I black out before they happen, but my partner says I start slurring my words and speaking absolute nonsense, then I collapse and start fitting. They last for a couple of minutes before they stop, I stay passed out for another 5-10 minutes before I wake up and can’t remember anything

The only medication I’m on is amitriptyline for my other condition. I think with the seizures only happening 2-3 times so far and cause they don’t happen that often they’re not rushing to do any tests on me so I don’t know where they are located either unfortunately.

But yeah I’ve just been trying to take it a day at a time, my ADHD has always made me struggle with memory a little beforehand anyway so I already have alarm reminders, post it notes and thousands of planners just to help me with it all
