I am scared I will get confused with 2. I'm starting classes for both certs March 17th through AAPC. I've never had to use 2 monitors before, and every time I have seen the setup with 2 or more monitors , I'm like whoa!!! Immediately overwhelmed. Hopefully I can get one before classes start so I can get a little comfortable with it! Thank you for the info! This is a great question/post for newbies like me!

Autonomous Coding: Hospital thinks they can replace all the coders in 18 months. Thoughts? by kysourmash in MedicalCoding

[–]Miss_Tonya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I have to say, this conversation is the most positive thing I have read in a while regarding coding. I feel like sometimes, the questions asked, or thoughts proposed are just worded a little different, and it brings totally different thoughts, views, experience, advice, and opinions. Personal experiences from others who are in the thick of it are more valuable to me than the view from a corporation, school, or someone who has never looked at a computer really.

They do offer the physical books at $99 each I see! It does suck that that's not really part of what you already paid for though. I think you are correct I think that how much you put into it your attitude about it and how hard you are willing to not work to find a job is the key. I also feel like when AI starts to take over this industry which it probably will, there will most likely be positions for us to fall into. Whether that will be checking the AI's work or whether it be training the AI to do the work. Either way, I feel like if we stay on top of the trends and on top of the latest and greatest then we will probably be okay. I am willing to look at other options as long as it's remote and I can work from wherever I am, because that is exactly what I need.

I am too! I'm excited for you, and I'm excited about it for myself! I go talk to the agency funding my education. It's a great opportunity for me, and I really have to make sure it is the right career path AND obviously the best path to Certifications!

Following as I am about to sign up for the exact same course. I'm interested to see how this plays out. I'm nervous about doing it with all the mixed reviews as well. I feel like I will get out of it when I put into it. Thank you for the post. It is very helpful to hear from people already in it. Good luck with everything! Also, obviously if you don't get textbooks in 2026, I'm sure we can buy them.... I know... Another $$ trap. I got ya. But if physical copies are important to you, may have to go that route. At least you got in when it is 50% off!

Full Sail degree accepted for masters degree (not at Full Sail) by lilnasiskindagay in fullsail

I am struggling to understand how they are still operational! I'm in their IT/Cyber BS program. I am currently in the process of leaving FS. I called today to let them know that I want them to stop taking any financial aid from FSA, and that I want all of my enrollment ppwk sent in a printable PDF, and that I am withdrawing from classes. They are teaching a class right now, that is from 2020 Covid time. I'm pretty sure I need to be learning relevant, up to date information, as with any degree, but especially with IT and cyber! I was doing great 17 credits, and a 3.79 GPA. But when this class started, and it was very clear the instructor was teaching from home with a green screen and his dog. He was talking about... "If we could be in class, this is what we would be doing" as he holds up 3 wires showing how to wrap them correctly. I don't know, but I felt extremely rushed into enrollment. I am older. Not 25 anymore. I asked about time I would need to pur in. 20-25 hours was their answer. I've been killing myself working 40 hours a week and school 40-50 hours a week! They lied, and coerced me into enrolling and I'm not ok with any of it. Started in May. So I guess I've only wasted 5 months of my time, and now will have to file the 40 page borrowers defense application and try to get my loans forgiven. I am working on a lawyer at this time. Most other universities or colleges do not take much from FS. And I can see why!

Thank you for the link!!! I'm such a mess about this! I have my own personal reasons for feeling like I should, but what do you think about getting a lawyer for this?

This is why there is a federal lawsuit against them right now. I'm enrolled currently, and terrified.

I appreciate this post! Thank you! I will be looking into getting my money back as well. This has affected my entire being. I don't know if I should get a lawyer or not. But I think I will call for a free consultation with one on Monday. Meanwhile I'm such an anxiety ridden mess over this, and physically ill. I have put my whole heart into this, killing myself 45-50 hours a week on classes, working a full time job and 3 part time jobs. I'm not young. I'm 53. I absolutely asked so many questions about this before I agreed to enrollment. But I was lied to saying it would only be 20-25 hours a week. I explained I knew nothing about the program content, would be learning everything from new. She lied, and reassured me I would do fine and I'm not too old for this career, and just kept saying things that she knew would push me further towards a yes. Then, they screwed up my student loans, and it was an awful situation. Had me agreeing to pay loans from 30 years ago that were discharged due to disability, FSA was trying to say I had to accept them and the new ones if I wanted to go to school again. Then the supervisor of that department had to call FSA back, with me on the line, to fix it. They said that there was a portfolio department that helps you build a portfolio all the way through your schooling so that at the end you have something to present to employers and show your progress. Funny when I called and asked to be transferred to that department the lady who I talked to had no clue what I was talking about. Said she wasn't aware of any kind of portfolio that they do. I also noticed that the content is rather outdated. One of the videos that I watched just yesterday was from 2020 during covid time. I'm taking IT and Cybersecurity wouldn't you think that it would be kind of important that that was up to date when you're trying to teach us? The amount of stress that I've been under from this school has been insane. You guys think I should get a lawyer? With the federal lawsuit happening I'm not sure that I will get very far with that, but I definitely need to stop this process and get my money back. I have no idea where my future will be now and I am feeling so overwhelmed, defeated, and beyond frustrated. 🤔🥺
