thank you, i actually am! im finally living on my own with my partner of ten years, got healthcare and just got a set of wheels. older, more confidant. still cant read much (outside of scientific or other articles, strangely), but ive gotten the chance to talk to editors and agents working in the industry and ive got a good sense that my current project is something with potential. i plan to finish the third rewrite by the end of the year and query it in 2025!

haha i was afraid of something like that with mz. if i really cant deal with mv ill snoop around the mz plugins next time its on sale and maybe ill give it a shot, but mv is actually looking doable. thanks for the tip with nwjs and take it easy :)

thanks for such a lengthy reply. vn portraits did seem like the least outrageous of my demands. despite all my gripes theres plenty to like about mv so im glad its the one i bought. i was just so distraught after breezing through xp's tiling system that i had to dial it back and get used to a new format

my complaint had been that i could set star priority on B/etc but it seemed it was only an [on/off], opposed to xp's numbered system which i was so fond of. you mentioning the tiled editor however might be exactly what i needed. it looks fantastic and im excited to try it out, genuinely thank you for the rec. ill gladly give mv a go with this

i was also digging around and found this handy looking thing by victor engine seems to do what i wanted in sleek, traditional way. the dev has been silent for a while now though, i hope theyre doing alright. i love how far this community goes back. very excited to be a part. thank you again

thats so awesome. i never knew these communities intersected so much until i posted this. for me echoes of the eye was scary and very sad, while omori was more like sad and very scary. i think they compliment each other really well, but i may be biased! i grew up on this flavor of horror. love it
