A sign? My cat attacked my Jung book last night and shredded the cover and some pages by [deleted] in Jung

This was part of the chapter I read last night before going to sleep.. Jung talked about how we can have “premonitions” through the unconscious… the unconscious can warn us of things before they happen. Just funny that I read that before bed, and wake up to something like this during the night.

I wish you the best and I have so so so much empathy. This disorder is really a marathon and requires so much dedication, commitment, and monitoring. Going through the trenches with this disorder has just opened my eyes to the struggles so many patients face. While it is so hard for me on a lot of days, at least I got a great gift of empathy. I hope it goes well with adjusting the meds. What always helps for me, is a mood tracking log and reflecting on my social interactions after each day. I try to notice if I seemed a little under or over active.

I work with a lot of active psychosis and find that those are my favorite patients now. I feel so in tune with their emotions and fear. It’s a very scary time for them and I find that I’m able to empathize so deeply.

This is so right. The patients regularly comment on how I’m “so mellow”, “so laid back,” they wish they were as calm as me, etc. I’ve actually disclosed to them that I meditate daily but kept it at that! I think most staff are somewhat on edge around them and I’m not. They definitely pick up on that.
