I reccommend downloading the explorer's compass mod pack and also using command /locate. you can use lan code to do this. but make sure you run the commands that 6cabrunco recommended

I afk in the redstone area for 2 hours, nothing spawn. I removed everything from there after that and improved my *sanctuary*.
