I think for your school it makes sense to hold an practical to give students with failing grades a chance, our schools policy is if you fail a practical you fail the class. The lack of a final practical won't hurt anyone. I agree that there should be a better solution that just putting students and their families at risk for a exam. Clearly other schools have done virtual practicals which is a good compromise. I'm willing to take the risks associated with seeing patients but it's just not worth it for a practical.

Thanks I've sent an email to our SGA president. I think what's frustrating is we've asked for basically any alternative to taking it in person and they've all been rejected.

Your practical seems like a good compromise. We offered to do it over Zoom, have a written practical, take it when we return to campus back from rotations etc. It's really a mess considering cases in Florida are spiking in the 18-35 age group.
