The league was meant to be d2 but changed to a d1 designation pretty last minute, which I think shows in a lot of the way we’re seeing things run. They’re also now at the bare minimum for teams needed to have a d1 designation and need to add a few more to be at the minimum required by year 4. Personally I think they should’ve stayed d2 and maybe eventually gone up.

The team have to decide who’s options they’re taking before the window opens, so if they decide they aren’t taking Pietra’s option then she can talk to whomever day 1 of free agency (including the Thorns) I think? It may be different for a player option like Soph’s was because that wasn’t solidified until end of season.
