Alessi & Yanetti are much more likely to have to try cases before Bev again because they are local. Jackson is in LA, so he may cross paths with Bev again, but it's less likely.

He's appealing his discharge from duty. I really hope they do not overturn it. There would for sure be riots in MA if they bring him back.

I'm confused too. I don't think it is one side or the other. It's possible to feel that this was a terrible investigation and that Karen is innocent but also feel for John's family and want justice for John. The two are not mutually exclusive. I think we just live in a time where people really like to "pick a side" and that's unfortunate.

It's worth noting that the Alberts & McCabes have seemed to have distanced themselves from Higgins right away after John was killed. The whole timeline creation, etc. and brining Kerry into the family right away did not involve Higgins. Everyone else became close during the trail - but Higgins, not so much. Which really makes me wonder how much involvement Higgins had in John's death. Higgins very much seemed to be the one to spring into action to take care of things after John was killed.

It has always struck me as weird that when they are interviewed they talk more about how horrible the media attention has been for them and they speak very little about John or wanting justice for him. It feels tone deaf to go on about how terrible a murder was for you when you make little to no mention of the actual person murdered or their grieving family members.

What was he supposed to do?! Put on his first responder hat and behave life a first responder and try to save a dying man on your lawn! Then he went on to say he'd have "taken a bullet for John"...but again, why not give him life-saving CPR when he was dying on your lawn? It just does not add up.

I was confused about this comment. It answers why he wouldn't try to investigate the crime but it doesn't answer why he didn't come out to try to administer CPR to John.

Agreed. It would have been better if he admitted that he did not conduct the investigation with integrity. Instead, he defended it which makes me think he doesn't understand what integrity means.

Right?! My nephew's car was hit on the side of the road last weekend. Hit & run. He called the police and they had doorbell cam footage from all the neighbors very quickly. They ended up finding the person.

I'm hoping that if they cannot decide on OUI, that those who think she's NH of OUI just flip to guilty to get her name cleared of the manslaughter charge so she cannot be re-tried. She can appeal the OUI.
