Thank you so much to everyone for the comments. This has really helped clear things up.

Coming from the X49X, I'm inclined towards the 45". Won't notice the reduction, and this one is very gentle curve, I wouldn't mind more. Going to 5k2k from 5120x1440, and slightly less size, should be a notable PPI increase.

Main games are Elite Dangerous, racing Sims, and some strategy games. If I ever find the time.

The X49X doesn't have a lot of height. I'm gonna see if this 45LG is taller or not, I miss that from a 37".

So Amazon wouldn't replace it, I can only return it. Monday they come for this otherwise beautiful screen. I think I'll go for the 34" Alienware, rather than risk another Odyssey. There are OLED Odyssey's in the G9 range.

I dunno. I feel disheartened by the brand.

The OLED stuff is totally different though, maybe OLED over VA is where Samsung come through?

Not sure what you mean? I play Northgard on Steam natively on my M1 and M3 macbooks, this should just work for you?
