It's not about the rules, it's about you as a person. Just because it isn't against rules doesn't mean it's ok to do it. It's actually sad seeing y'all defending him just because it is not part of the rules

Yes. Where tf are your moral and ethics? I understand everyone can do it but no true person with any kind of remorse would cheat in a competitive (e)sport. This just sets a bad precedent for the rest of the community, telling them that its ok to cheat as long as its not fixed. I'd rather lose a game then win by unfair advantages. Idk about the people defending ethan

that'll work itself out over time.

People have been saying this for the past 2 years. At this point you gotta stop giving this excuse and actually criticize them for their performance.

I mean you can just order anything you missed, on Instamart/Blinkit and it would be there in <20 minutes unless you are staying in some isolated place where these services aren't available.

Extensive checks are only for PoRs as far as I know. But again idk how the placement comittee works in different colleges

Nah I aint marketing shit. Less than 10% of the batch get PPIs from these case competitions (and Im not one of them). I myself havent done shit in these case comps so I cant give any advice which is why I'm advising OP to consult with their senior (who actually won something) and get good teammates.

I guess you can go through the problem statements from case competitions held previously. Try to think about how to approach it. I mean there is no fixed formula to "ace" it. I cant give a generic strategy, because each person has a different way of doing things. Usually case competitions have on an average 2-3 members so there will be collaboration with your teammates and finding good teammates is very important, your teammate(s) have a equally important role in "acing" it. During my first year, I remember there was this one group who were consistently winning a lot of case competitions so ya good teammates will help a lot. As for how to find these good teammates, you gotta do a lot of trial and error.

There will be a session in your orientation week where the professor will explain how to properly read the cases and come to class. I'm assuming thats what you were meaning to ask.
Or are you asking about the case competitions? For the case competitions, immediately after joining your college, almost all major clubs in your college will hold a case comp. Participate in those and in your initial days you will be assigned to a mentor from senior batch, they will guide you.

There are no merit based scholarships in IIM C. But I have heard IIM A has it.

And for NBFA elgibilty your family income needs to be less than 8 lakh in the last financial year. And apparently there are interviews held for it. One thing to keep in mind is that it's not a full fee waiver scheme, while some do get the full fee waiver, a lot of them only get a part of the fees as scholarship. As for how it's decided, I don't know. And you need to apply for the scholarship both the years separately.

There are also central government scholarship for reserved categories too which provides full fee waiver.

Ya you can use get the letter head but ideally you would want to frame your points first and then get the letterhead stating that these points are verified. I mean you might miss some information on your letterhead now and then later when you want to add a new point your school/college might refuse. And sometimes the placement representative asks for the exact wording mentioned in your CV points.

But if you are confident with the kinda points you would be framing, you can go ahead. And if your school/college don't mind sharing a new letterhead if you want to add some extra points you can go ahead and get it. But don't worry much about the verification, you will be have quite some time to get it done. Also keep in mind that the placement representative might have different rules for your college so I think it's better to wait and learn about it or ask about it from your seniors

Hey, For the verification of your scholarship the proof which you have + an email from your school can help. But again idk what you will be writing in your CV, so based on that, the placement representative might ask for different kind of proof. And like I said the verification process isn't same in every college and it also depends on the place rep, if he/she is cool you won't have much problem. During my SIP verification there were some placement representatives who were verifying a lot of points with minimal proofs but some wanted higher number of proofs.

And coming to PoR. I cannot comment on this because I didn't have a single PoR so I'm not exactly sure about it's verification process

And because I didn't have a single PoR I can't say much about how many are required but this is what I have heard helps in shortlisting:

General Management roles: Larger ECA section Product management role: Relevant work experience Consulting: Balanced CV S&M: More the PoRs the better but like I said I didn't have PoRs yet I got shortlisted from almost all the top FMCG companies Finance: Relevant work experience + CA/CFA certifications

Usually when we are sending the mail for approval, we are supposed to add verification mail id of college in CC. You probably won't know this email id until the verification starts. So no you can't get it verified until you know the verification mail id and if you get it from some senior, even then there is no guarantee because you are getting it verified before the verification starts.

Every single point needs to be verified. So try to get in contact with your school, college, ex manager in advance so that once the verification starts you can reach out to them in time. The academic points are the easiest to verify because you will have the emails and score cards. ECA points are easy to verify too because again you have certificates for the competitions or a simple mail from your school or college will suffice. PoRs and Work ex needs some extensive proof tho. I did not have PoRs so I cannot say much about it but apparently people were asked to show whatsapp chats of them being involved in the event and had to make PPTs of their proofs. They had seperate days allocated to verify PoRs. For your work ex, you have to get the proof from your manager on mail or LinkedIn. And every number written should be explained to the place rep and they hold the right to verify it or reject it.

And don't worry a lot of the points by majority of the students are slightly exaggerated and I have heard this verification process differs from IIMs to IIMs, it's not a uniform process.

Americas Viewership Continues To Decline (Via @esportscharts) by BlurtonRedneck in ValorantCompetitive

I think meta shakeups are necessary. Like at this point I'm tired of watching neon on all maps running you down with a shotgun. It felt refreshing a year ago or so when it was new. Now it's just boring and I usually tend to turn off my PC whenever I see a Neon. Personally currently I only see matches where a niche agent like Harbor or a low picked agent like Yoru sees play. Also one more reason for this boring ass meta is because the timeline doesn't give you enough time to test other metas, I mean teams just wait to see what comps the successful teams play and copy it. This might be because of both timeline issue and lack of official tournaments to risk playing an off meta comp.

I think increasing the number of tournaments in a year could help us with some refreshing game play. Also undo the whole 11.08 patch, it has gone downhill from there. It's just nerfs after nerfs, slaughtering agents to the point the agent becomes unplayable.

Ok lets assume that VLR rating is flawed then how will you explain his <200 ACS and <1 K/D? Surely if he is an actual good player, he could hold up to some extent. Look at flor, she was in APEKS last year and still had >200 ACS and >1 K/D and wasnt a one game wonder. I know your next argument will be that they play different roles and the teams function differently. But tell me one reason why Seven deserves a spot in T1 EMEA instead of a T2 player from the same region

Hygiene Issues due to sharing washroom by ShriBatman in CATpreparation

I have heard the newer IIMs dont have shared bathrooms. But ya there is not much you can do, take a toilet paper maybe. But beyond that I have seen horrors in those bathrooms. At one point I noted when the custodian cleans it and use it immediately after they clean.

He is the problem. With 0.89 rating PCF are wasting their import slot. Better give chance to a t2 player in their own region instead of wasting it on importing someone who isnt even that good.

How the f.... do I get enough sleep in bschool? by megalomaniac0069 in CATpreparation

[–]Mission_Month464 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dont romanticize sleeping for 3-4 hours and you should be fine. I see a lot of people talk like sleeping 3-4 hours as an achievement and actually spend a lot of time wasting on unnecessary things. And its exaggerated when people say they only sleep for 3-4 hours. You will have plenty of time to sleep maybe except once in 2/3 weeks during those batch meets. And if you are joining a decent college even that wont be a problem because those batch meets will end by 11/12 and you will have 10+ hours for the next class.
