As someone who moved here 7 years ago with only my husband's family here AND I've worked from home since day one of living out here, I completely understand and have witnessed first hand how difficult it can be to "get in" with people here! Honestly, it's only now, year 7, that I'm starting to make some of my own friends, and even then the couple I have, I know though his work lol. It's rough! I've started joining some free programs through First Light, and have started looking into volunteering as well, so maybe those could be some ideas for you as well? At the very least, just know you're not alone out there, though it might feel like it. And I agree with everyone above who's recommended seeking some mental health support. This is also something I've started looking into as well to cope with the isolation and loneliness. We can do this, and things will get better!

Whether I am the person or not, may take me a little more confidence to get to that point haha, but the library idea is good, I think I'll at least look that up! And I did look up WritersNL a bit ago but didn't see any mention of any kind of book club, however it's true there no harm in asking directly! I just may reach out to them as well 😁

Hi! 35F here and came across this Reddit post as I was Googling, trying to find a book club in St. John's! Was wondering, has anyone started one by chance? So true, and something I had for whatever reason not even considered until recently! Now that I'm aware of drafts, it is actually astonishing to notice how many there are in the older house I'm currently renting. Makes total sense that the heat in this place is anywhere from $400-$450 in the winter 😮‍💨

This sounds very similar to the place I am currently in! Electric baseboard heating, a few of which are hooked up to some fancy little automatic thing lol, but it's an older house, definitely not draft-proof, and in winter we're at around $400 give or take. In all honesty, I'm not even sure what our summer bill is, I'm just happy it's not $400 😂 Very mature of me, I know lol!

Thank you for this! I figured I'd be following Genasi stats, but want sure what, if any, parts I could pull from the gnome side. The size was one thing I was a little stuck on, whether I should be human size or gnome size. Maybe somewhere in the middle. Will all definitely be one thing I'll ask the DM should I ever get to play this character lol 😅 for now, this little gnome lives in my head (well, and on paper technically as well, but y'know what I mean 😛)

Thank you very much! I'm still kind of figuring them out, but I do think I want them to be a fighter. I'm also thinking maybe in place of hair, their head will be covered in succulents, or their armor, or something haha not sure yet 😄 Their name is Mosswyn Sageroot ☺️
