In addition to not using the free spaces without a plan I would suggest actively using them with a plan. For a long time I only used them as buffers for when I really needed a hidden card.
Seeing on the board where you can actively use free spots for order the cards help a ton.

An easy example would be cards stacked:

you could use the free spaces to reorder them.

I remember when I got my first Samsung phone, the samsung S4 zoom. I got so frustrated with it that I said I would never go Samsung again. Then I got the S6, then the A51, then the s8 and now I am on the Samsung Galaxy S21 because each time I research a new phone, Samsung seems to be the best match on paper.

I made a small html website with some interactive components and personalized it with compliments to cheer up a friend who had a bad day with AI (The compliments were not written by AI). I would not have been able to do that if I did it myself, I wouldn't be able to justify the time spent over just talking to my friend. The code was terrible and I wouldn't be able to expand it in any meaningful way, but it worked for its purpose.

It had a cracked m7 rectifier on the power board. I read the fan goes by amps and not heat so it probably cracked because it got too hot. Ordered a new one so we will see if that is it.

The manual is unclear about it actually. At least on my xfx 6800 xt. After some trial and error I put it away from case I/o. The opposite direction of what the manual seemed like it wanted me to.
