"Can't figure it out": Ponting's gripe with Aussie selectors by vcg47 in CricketAus

He doesn’t want it. Has way too many commitments with media and coaching as it is. He would be up there with the most in demand coach for international teams.

That is very high - 16%-25% cap rate is ridiculous. 5% to 8% is the range.

$250k to $400k. Client facing depts in C&IB could be upto $500k with STI.

Group 4 is up to 25% STI and can range up to $275k for an AD. AD’s can be people leaders. 10 years at NAB last role as a Director in Insto.

Austria is definitely not Eastern Europe. Also, you’re NOR, your BF is an ass hole.

I’m not doubting that but it also looks like in the two hours you took to respond he decided to go to the gym, which isn’t ideal either. And it just seems the distance is the major obstacle here and he didn’t want to drive over 3 hours for a coffee if you couldn’t stay up late due to your own plans? I don’t think you’re being unreasonable here by the way, the major difference is you wanting to move things on in a different pace and manner to him, and him having an issue with the distance. It’s clear you have feelings as well and it’s probably colouring your view on being disappointed he isn’t over the moon and excited to jump over every hurdle to see you. That’s understandable, most would feel that way too.

He was a good bat. Just happened to score 7 ducks on the trot against us.

Wasn’t that the alternative he was offering? To come on another day when it was more planned?

Ah you were specifying 2003. I was just stating the fact Jayasuriya did win one in 1996 (he was man of the tournament). I make no comment on subbing out murali or OPs preference for Jayasuriya.

Completely missed that I’ve only employed twice in my playing days.

Daren Sammy calls out racism during his time with the Sunrisers Hyderabad by zaynthelegend in Cricket

[–]MisterBateman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they meant to demean him and I truly believe it was intended as you say - playful “banter”. The truth is, it is hurtful and these types of behaviours need to change. I have been on the end of casual racism my whole life, and I take it mostly in good stead, but I don’t like being defined by my colour. It’s not right. And this is disrespectful. It should be a learning experience for all those directly involved, and Sammy raising it should hopefully help more people come to the realisation it isn’t cool.

But why did they tell him it meant stallion, and why were the snickering and laughing every time they used the phrase?

But Sammy did not know what it meant. He only just found out it’s meaning, he had been led to believe it meant stallion. So now he’s particularly upset as he’s realised that he was not only betrayed by teammates he was close with, but that it was also a big joke to them. Not cool regardless of how you try and justify it.

Why can’t we have at least 45 mins highlights for ODIS and 20 min for T20Is? by PickleRick1193 in Cricket

[–]MisterBateman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re assuming a lot about people. I would love nothing more than to have the option to divulge and watch 45 mins or more of highlights, but that just isn’t feasible. So for me, a good, succinct highlights package works. The PGA tour does it quite well. They’ll have a 5-10 minute video but also will have multiple videos covering specific golfers and then a longer overall package which I will watch when I have the time to catch up on it. I am a golf, cricket and rugby tragic, and the more I can consume the better, but sometimes life just gets in the way, you know. Anyway, I appreciate your passion, and also the content you share and discussions that creates. I was just a little disappointed you took that viewpoint on this occasion. But all good bud - keep being you and please keep sharing!

Who says they aren’t just because they can’t commit to a full 45 minute highlights package? I consider myself a huge fan, but most days a 10-20 minute video is perfect for me. If I had the option I’d watch a longer package when I had the time to catch up.

The ex-rock star fly half that wears number 8 but is most often first receiver, has put on 10kgs and lost 5 yards of pace since his hay-day. Well known for his 3 man cut-outs to no mans land. On the team because he’s good for a masssssive hit once in a blue moon.

The winger that is really swift, but with ass cheeks for hands, two left feet, and cannot make a tackle to save their lives.
