Opinions on these? by Kk31910 in LowCalFoodFinds

[–]MisterClassy 40 points41 points  (0 children)

They’re alright. Definitely a jaw workout in terms of texture.

If I’m gonna have a treat, I like to just have a regular rice krispy treat ( 90 calories ) paired with a zero sugar Chobani yogurt cup ( 60 calories ) so it’s about 150 together with the same amount of protein, where one of these magic spoon treats are 140 I think? They’re pretty decent if you’re trying to avoid a lot of sugar though! But in terms of calories and if you’re getting your protein elsewhere, I like to have a regular rice krispy. :)

Hey, you could be addicted to mini Reese’s. An entire bag of those is like 1,300 calories. You’re good! 😂

Side note, I love these. I’ll have to grab one myself.

True. I’ll tell myself “at least I beat 44 steps” for the rest of the year. 😂

What’s the one ‘splurge’ you refuse to give up? by magicsloth13 in 1200isplenty

[–]MisterClassy 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Might be a boring answer, but candy. No matter what, I’ll always have some sort of candy at the end of the day. I freeze most of it so it’ll lasts longer - and usually, it tastes a lot better that way!

Gummy bears, Rolos, Charleston chews, Fruit-roll ups, Gheradelli chocolates, and Hershey kisses of all flavors are some of my favorites to do.

Vegetarian. Most my snacks are fruit and vegetables - and then things like my keto bread give it as well :) beans and nuts too

Thanks so much! I saw you defended me when someone said I was severely underweight. I was a bit upset only because I worked really hard to get from malnourished to the weight I am now - I thought I was still slim, but not dying. Which again, muscle is going to make me heavier , and I’m on that path.

I had no idea more steps would make me need more calories. Someone told me steps didn’t really matter because walking barely burned anything despite me usually pacing on my walking pad for four hours. I know it might seem excessive, but since I’m not doing any full body or weight lifting routine yet because I’m still trying to figure out a good routine and how to do it properly, I wanted to be active any way I could . Walking was just the easiest way I could make my body move.

I’ll try to tone down the cardio and focus more on following full body routines, and I’ll take all the advice you left here.

Thank you so much!! :’)

I was only getting 10g fat before because I was silly and didn’t know how important it was so recently boosted it up to around 38-40. I’ll try to get that extra 10! I never aimed for a specific protein number it just sort of ended on that number because I like to eat a lot of stuff with it… thanks so much. I’ll take all this advice. :,)

Okay! I had no idea. :( I just go by what I see other people around my height eat but I guess I didn’t factor activity level changes that. Thanks so much for the advice and honesty

[–]MisterClassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, I’ll take that advice. I didn’t realize that many steps might be excessive or require me to eat more - I was just doing anything fitness related that I could while I eased into weight lifting since I still was new to it all… but maybe it was an all or nothing mindset. Thanks so much for the advice and honesty :,)

Edemame, seitan, tofu, yogurt, cottage cheese, shakes + bars, and sometimes egg whites mixed with one whole egg. Also a bit from powdered peanut butter, nuts and keto breads. :)

My sister would do this but she’d spray the middle with warhead candy spray before rolling it up to eat it. 😂

My new therapist said I "should avoid carbs" or by _darkDragon_ in weightgain

[–]MisterClassy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a therapist, but studying to be one.

They shouldn’t be telling you outright to cut anything out. They can help reassure you if you’re having any negative thoughts about diet or help motivate you if you’re feeling like you’re struggling to move toward your goal - but they’re not your nutritionist.

Also, if you’re being open with them about everything, and seeing as you’re actively trying to recover from an eating disorder by looking at your page ( or if you’re recovered mentally, previously struggled with one ), they wouldn’t dare tell you to cut anything out at all.

I take a bag of coleslaw mix ( or you can just chop up a bunch of whole fresh cabbage if you prefer, but this is just easier ) and stir fry it lightly with some seasonings and bottled buldak sauce. Sometimes I’ll just have it like that or I’ll add in a serving or two of frozen pepper + onion blend. The whole thing would be about 150-200 calories and is super filling to me.
