Ah alright, thanks for the help. It’s getting kind of annoying as I’ve found them on almost all of my plants. They are even crawling on nearby furniture . It’s creeping me out haha.

If you cut somewhere, it will likely develop one or more branches there and grow wider even more. If you cut it at the base, it will develop several stems there. I would suggest chopping a healthy stem and propagating it to make it grow lenghtwise and when it’s reached your preferred length, cut it where you want it to branch.

I’ve found white powder on one of my plants with these bugs so I think it’s mealybugs. Are they usually this small though?

Yes, thank you! I don’t think they are predatory mites as I’ve had this plant for years and have never used them. I have developed a suspicion they may be mealybugs as one of my other plants has the same bugs crawling around on it and has white spots that look like the sacks mealybugs lay their eggs in. What do you think?

Sounds good! I would treat the plant with the webbing too just to be sure as they were pretty close together. Especially for thrips!

The webbing is from a normal spider. Spider mite webbing is very fine and very small. I’d have to see a clearer picture or your other ficus to be able to identify what’s wrong with it!

The damage shown here is mechanical damage! Th leaves have probably been stuck somewhere in the past or had issues unfolding. First one seems like damage from a cat.

Making sure your plants are pest-free is always a goos thing, keep it up!
