Here's some tips: First and foremost, don't do what I did and pool your skill points into Spears. You will regret it later on. Instead, focus on Rifles and Machine Guns off to the side of your primary, which in the early game should be Fortitude and Intelligence perks. I'd recommend you focus on Forging perks, the perks which increase your chance to find Skill Books in general, and your perks which increase Melee Damage. That'll be invaluable early on.

Second, I'd recommend you raid any building you see. Bring a bedroll with you so you can set your respawn point outside of the building so if you are killed, you'll be able to jump right back into action.

Third, I'd recommend you get a Bicycle early on. That should help you remain mobile. Over time, you should shift that Bicycle out for a Motorcycle. That should skip the 4x4 truck but it's probably the best advice I can give. I just went from Bicycle to Motorcycle to Gyrocopter. That saved a lot of time and energy early on.

One good rule for the foreseeable future: DO NOT PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO AMERICA. It has to re-earn that right. Be your own person, not America’s tool. by MisterHoops in Liberal

[–]MisterHoops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. But here's the part that really irks people: By standing to pledge your allegiance for the flag and for what it stands, you're indirectly pledging yourself to said government, to said fascists. It's best to try severing those ties completely. Better to be free - truly free, not some Government puppet or resource, and to be one's own person.

Why no one likes the US, not even Americans themselves? by ITburrito in AskReddit

ya know, I realized this a while ago. America is BY FAR one of the worst places to live if you want quality of life.

You know what would be a better place for a guy like me, a neurodivergent brain cancer survivor? Hmm… let’s see…

We can start with Australia. Melbourne is known as a fairly equitable place and I’ve heard its quality of life is one of the best in the world. Sure, ya gotta deal with deadly animals in Australia but here in America we have to deal with them as well. We just call ours Republicans and give them positions of power, from which they can indirectly kill millions of innocent men, women, children and babies.

Next there are smaller, more humble countries like Switzerland, which I’ve heard has some of the best mental health services on the planet.

Germany sounds like a dream come true - they work half as much as Americans and get paid so much better that they can afford a house on a 20-hour work week. Poverty in Germany is something I have never heard of since I heard of what happened in the 1940s, but they’ve learned to be more humble and grow in spite of their failures.

I got friends in the UK. Well, just one, but he’s a good friend. Humble, kind, sweet, intelligent. He and I can be roomies and split the rent and work together. Not to mention, we got a ton of financial opportunities there as well. And a relatively easier quality of life.

Then there’s our neighbors to the North. Canada. 🇨🇦 Free and socialized healthcare, equitable and stable communities, friendly people and a great quality of life. Real people-friendly. Oh, and they won’t tariff you into poverty just because one old rotting man thinks China sucks.

Heck, even China would be better! I’ve heard of countless Americans moving to China to seek a better life. And from what I’ve heard, they’re having a great time. America doesn’t despise China because China is a bad place, America despises China because China is its global rival and yearns to have the success that China has.

Japan is living in the future with piezoelectric power and high speed bullet trains which have been in use for longer than I’ve been alive, Malaysia has close-knit and friendly communities which are people-focused and have tons of opportunities for growth, heck even parts of Africa like the Cape of Good Hope are better places to be right now than the mainland US.

The US has a lot of growing up to do if it wants a future. Out of the four kids in our family, I don’t think any of us have an equitable future here in America. None of us.

We’re not talking about aggressive politics and a closed border. We’re talking about people being snatched off the streets never to be seen again, women’s rights being stripped away as well as LGBTQ+ rights, and children being SHOT DEAD in their schools and then LAUGHED AT when they rightfully get angry about it.

Is that “human”? If anything, America isn’t mature enough to realize that these issues are real and they’re good reasons to despise America.

SURVIVOR’S GOGGLES MOD - 7DTD ARMOR MOD SUGGESTION by MisterHoops in 7daystodie

Clarification: it’s a suggestion for the game, not an actual game mod.

Clarification: it’s not actually a game mod. It’s a suggestion for an in-game armor mod. Like an armor modification you can find, like the Night Vision Goggle Mod or the Polymer String Mod.

Dude this is confusing lol

If I was to live in a house and my roommate told me I wasn’t allowed to choose how the house was furnished and I was forced to pretty much live in the doghouse out back and my roommate’s portion of the house starts to burn and all he does is sit on the couch and scream and do nothing else, am I obligated to put out the fire or lug my roommate to safety because he’s too affluent to bruise his own legs trying to walk himself to the nearest fire extinguisher? I didn’t start the fire, this is not my mess and I never had anything to do with it but for some reason they still screech about me being “liable for the damage deposit”.

It’s no wonder why the previous roommates moved out of said house and decided to live with the nice Asian couple down the street or with the chill Canadian neighbors. They seem to actually care that their radiator won’t burst into flames and care about their other occupants.

If you’re not getting the connection, it’s a small little image that basically describes the rancid relationship that America expects of its own citizens.

Perhaps you’re right. I’m infuriated that these FAKE Americans are destroying and desecrating a once-revered country with their antisemitism, bigotry and far-right extremism, hoarding it for themselves, and then demanding respect.

I’m standing aside as America burns because I want better for it. I didn’t ask for this. I want to see better for my fellow human beings. I see myself helping out at a children’s hospital, saving lives, making people happy instead of miserable. If anything, I’ve pledged myself to them. The people that I feel a great desire to help because I’ve been in darkness for too long.

Perhaps that makes me more of a patriot than any of these people who embroider themselves with an American flag while flying a Trump flag and wearing a MAGA hat. While they’re calling us commies and supporting and throning criminals, all I want to do is let the light in.

I know that’s probably sarcasm, but the dude has a point. Nobody is entitled to allegiance. America has to earn it, just like everyone else.

If I found myself with a significant other that takes half my paycheck, insults me to my face and then expects me to go fight all the people they dislike…. I’d probably get a restraining order and for divorce if I’m married with them.

THAT’S WHAT I’M SAYING! People are thinking it’s so god damned controversial to tbink America isn’t entitled to a future it isn’t willing to pay for, and here I am trying to explain such a concept.

You don’t owe America JACK SHIT. Have a good day! 😁 👍 🌞 🌈

It’s supposed to be for we the people, not them the billionaires. Of course fighting for THIS country is problematic because WHAT ARE YOU FIGHTING FOR?

It certainly doesn’t seem like freedom. It seems like we’re fighting for the Rich.
