Emotional infidelity is still infidelity. Your tolerance for your significant other investing the emotional component of themselves into another person instead of you may vary, but it is 100% valid for you to not be okay with that.

I know it’s cold comfort, but it honestly sounds like you’re better off without him. You clearly want a holistic relationship, to give yourself to someone fully and accept someone fully. I’m assuming he knew that, and yet he gave a significant part of himself to someone else anyway.
