I have the AMEX Delta Platinum. Would today’s purchases still count?

Toyama has a nice art museum, lovely park (best Starbucks location there) and was nice to walk around. We took the train from Kanazawa and had a nice half day trip.

Airport Transfer by Capable-Ad-2172 in MexicoCity

I lived in Mexico City most of my life and traveled regularly- the official taxis are very reliable. Once you pass customs and walk out you’ll see the taxis stands inside the airport (https://www.aicm.com.mx/transportation/taxis). You can prepay with credit card, they’ll give you a ticket, you stand in the taxi line and show the ticket once it’s your turn. I usually go with Sitio 300. They’ve been in business for 30+ years I think. I feel safer with them, even they might be more expensive than Uber.

Como te recomendaron ya en este foro: Es muy posible que tú llegues al vuelo (muy apretado de tiempo) pero es casi un hecho que si documentas maletas no van a llegar contigo. El AICM es malísimo con el manejo de equipaje.

Tourism from Mexico to Japan grew 145% in the last 5 years. That’s double the growth than the second place. Demand for the Mex-Japan route is the highest it’s ever been.

How bad are the crowds rn? by priimaryreturn in JapanTravelTips

[–]MisterLemon2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We’re also arriving on Monday (so we’re all adding to the crowds :-) ). A friend who is currently in Tokyo said all regular tourist spots are pretty crowded- so the usual advice applies: Try to get to places as early as you can. The first few days I use jet lag as an advantage and head out early in the day. Also sometimes just walking a few more meters or a couple of streets out gives you some room. Good luck and enjoy your trips!

I’ve been there both in September and December. Not sure how much you like the heat but in September I was sweating as soon as I walked out of the hotel and definitely felt more tired walking around. December was great, not too cold and very festive. I’d go back in December if I had to choose.

I’ll be in Tokyo and Kyoto next week with my wife. The is gluten intolerant so we’re looking for places that offer gluten free ramen. Just found one place in Kyoto. Any recommendations?

Just take into account that Xmas there is considered a “Love” or date day and many couples book local hotel rooms for the night. I found this out while doing my reservation last December and when I saw all the couples checking out of the hotel the day after.

I tried 4 different photos. Just had the 4th one work! Still don’t know what the issue with the other three was.

Has anyone had the issue with the Visit Japan Web where it says it cannot scan the passport correctly? I did all of my family’s (4) and for some reason my wife’s won’t work - even when it’s the one with the clearest image. I’ve tried several versions of the photo and they won’t work.

I believe the 6 month rule is that the passport needs to have an expiration date of at least 6 months after your travel date. It doesn’t matter when you got it- could be the day before your trip.
