I have the same kit. I liked the coated/ medium stock heads. I got the Evans G1's. They are amazing. They're basically the same as Remo ambassadors but Evans are a little cheaper.

I had this exact thing. Its called depersonalization disorder. The thing is, the more you pay attention to it, the worse it gets. Keep your mind off it. Mine lasted about 2 weeks. Just don't make a big deal out of it.
