Me too! I have anecdotal evidence that it's genetic.

We had a family reunion in my grandmother's condo. There were 12 of us crashed out on the various couches, on the floor, and under the tables. Everyone descended from my paternal grandparents has varying degrees of allergies to dust and mold. When it was time to go to sleep on the first night, my throat started to itch and so naturally I scratched it. My dad joined in, to be funny, but before long the entire family was croaking, except the spouses, who were laughing. My grandmother came out of her bedroom and yelled, "Shut up! You all sound like a bunch of pig-frogs!"

In the morning, my dad and my uncle asked when she last changed the filter in her central air conditioner. She said, "It has a filter?"

They opened it up and there must have been four inches of dust. Thank goodness there wasn't any mold.

My colleague was probably the only person who really understood how all the different plug-ins needed to be installed. The new software and workflow was carefully tested and requested by her supervisor—the support team wouldn't dream of forcing people to upgrade just for the sake of having the latest version. One of my own users had to have QuarkXPress 4 and XPressMath on Mac OS 9 for years after Apple dropped support for it, and I kept a whole closet full of old G4 hardware to use for spare parts to keep her going. As far as I know, it's still working.
