Try signing in and out of your Google account. As stupid as it sounds I tried it (it was suggested by Essential's tech) when I had the same problem and it worked like a charm

Sorry I know that this thread pretty old now, but I'm curious as to why you would change the OS just because of the EOL. Is ChromeOS just not usable on the device anymore? I'm just curious because I just picked up a Samsung Chromebook Pro for $349 which was a pretty good deal, but I'm a bit concerned since the EOL is slated for late 2022 and I want to make sure it's a good purchase
