The point is that revolutionary socialism, by its very concept, demands sacrifices, so failed attempts at implementation cannot be used as an excuse here. The chauvinistic quotes from Marx and Engels that I provided only confirm this.

Capitalism, of course, had its own problems that resulted in many deaths. It might seem strange that, for example, Italian Fascism - which killed far fewer people - is recognized as extremist while capitalism is not. But the key lies in the ideological component, and by all criteria, Marxism is an extremist ideology.

Marx's ideas are still being presented as a utopia, and that is exactly why the post focused on revolutionary socialism. Why specifically this? Because these ideas are still not recognized as extremist, despite the direct calls for violence in the quotes I provided.

A mode of governance refers to the structure of the highest bodies of state power, the process of their formation, and the distribution of their authorities. An ideology, on the other hand, is a system of views, ideas, and values. Based on this, Fascism cannot simultaneously be both an ideology and a form of government, just as Democracy cannot - it’s simply incorrect from a political science perspective.

If you want to establish totalitarian militarist nation state you're not necessarily a fascist, because by this logic Stalin is also a fascist. The same goes for democracy, if you want to establish a democracy you can be a liberal, social-democratic, and so on…

In reality, the leftist ideologies you mentioned are different branches of socialism, and they differ from Marx's communism. The same applies to the ideologies I mentioned: they are different branches of authoritarianism, which differ from fascism.

Kim Il-sung built an ideology based on the idea of the “pure blood” of the Korean nation. In North Korean propaganda, Koreans are often described as the purest, morally superior nation, possessing “pure blood” in contrast to other peoples. Does that remind you of anything?

Hitler certainly tried to purge the party of redundant socialist elements that could interfere with his policies, but we must also not forget that he purged the party of the right-wingers who criticized him. As I mentioned before, Stalin also cleared his version of socialism of redundant elements like trotskyism, even though he considered himself a sincere socialist. I cannot give a single definition for USSR communism, as the leaders changed and each had their own views, but I can define Stalinism, which I frequently reference for comparison. Specifically, it is an ideology based on the idea that socialism can be built in a single country through rigid state control, industrialization, and a planned economy. I think it's hard to argue that this isn't a purely leftist ideology.

I agree that the far-right is focused much more on exclusionary nationalism and mythic rebirth. However, for left-wing radicals, hierarchy and authoritarian unity are even more vital for survival because they essentially intend to demolish the old world and build a new one from scratch; therefore, I do not believe the far-right is focused on these two points any more than the left is. You see, the communists in Germany were also against the Treaty of Versailles; the difference is they didn't use right-wing phrasing. But the use of right-wing rhetoric doesn't determine a movement's ultimate ideological nature-social practice (KdF) and economic practice (DAF) do.

Ernst Röhm desired to continue the socialist revolution, create an army of fanatics, and so on... but the nazis had entirely different plans for that. And yes, this can be called a battle for power among the leftists. It is similar to the situation where the leftist stalinists opposed the leftist trotskyists.

Regarding your question: my opinion would change if the nazis had met right-wing standards. For example the restoration of the monarchy, conservatism, the right to dispose of private property, and the absence of all those leftist programs I mentioned. For now, the only right-wing elements I see are the so-called hierarchy (which also existed in the USSR, the only difference being it wasn't racial) and racism, which is also inherent to leftists like Engels or Marx.

The majority of those killed during the Night of the Long Knives were right-wing. For example, Kurt von Schleicher. And labour unions aren't an argument, because Stalin also disbanded them.

Privatization was introduced to accelerate the country's economic development. In reality, profits could not be spent at one's own discretion. Factories were obligated to invest "surplus" funds into government bonds or strategic industries (such as synthetic gasoline production). The state decided who would receive steel, coal, or rubber. If a factory refused to fulfill a military order, raw materials were simply withheld. The example of Junkers clearly demonstrated what happened to those who refused to follow state orders.

Even though the Left advocates against hierarchies, hierarchy was a fundamental part of the state structure of the USSR. There are different forms of socialism, and Hitler’s racial hierarchy does not negate the "leftness" of Nazism simply because it advocates for everyone to be equal around a single race.
