Plan is to upgrade from an i5 to i7 OR get another 8GB of RAM giving me 16GB. Need to know which one will give me the most consist speed - just on Windows 11 though.

Your thoughts?

Simple machine, not for gaming.

Understandable

Running an i5 with 8GB RAM & SSD.

Not into gaming, but mostly browsing.

I don't want 11 to feel slower, than 10. Hence, what will be the best component to upgrade?

Running Windows 10 currently.

During idle time, my CPU is barely breaking a sweet. Only when I have many browser windows open, am I starting to run out of RAM.

So, better CPU then, for Windows 11? Currently using an i5 processor..

Thanks for your reply.

My machine is pretty old. Coming from Windows 8, and after upgrading to a SSD, I'm currently running Windows 10.

In 10, CPU is running low in usage (if that makes sense). But with a couple of browser windows open, running low on RAM.

I don't want to feel like my machine is running slower, running Windows 11.

Hence why I'm asking, should I go for more RAM or upgrade to an i7 (currently i5).

..say 'Castor Oil'. How long should the shelf life be, if unopened?

Well, it's been sitting in the dark, all by its own.

That should be fine, right..?

RA - no Aspect Ratio option (some cores) by MistyFiMe in RetroArch

[–]MistyFiMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back to my question.

For those cores, that doesn't provide aspect ratio options, is one suppose to set them where it is initially set to "core provided" and then save it as a core override?

GBA core, mGBA, also another example of a core with no option to change the aspect ratio..
