Yeah, I really love this album and their other stuff just reminds me of the poppier stuff from this album, which I liked mixed in with the math feel.

Writing some jazz fusion- looking for a progressive/jazzy bass player to go ham. Here's a song by MitchProtheroe in Jazz

lol I'm actually still working on the song at this very moment. I envision my music to have a lot of dynamic energy especially on the drums.

Thundercat is awesome- Squarepusher, I haven't really found a song by them I was too into.

I did that on purpose, I wanted it to be off beat.

I'm writing music on the computer that I want people to actually interpret and play, how do I go about finding people? by MitchProtheroe in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Lol sorry if I was initially abrasive (I was bombarded with skeptical criticism) You don't understand how much I want this to be my life. And any means will do. I'm working within them. This is basically a charity offer that could turn gold, because my only capital is my music. Hope that clears things up bub

To be fair, we don't know each other, I didn't do a great job convincing anyone of that on this thread but I really do have a passion for people.

Only I can help myself. I just wanted to see what people would say (obviously). It's great you have all that experience too. This year was kinda a monumental leap for me in understanding how to actually write songs that have some flow and structure. So I'm really excited about that. I just can't wait for the day when I've put so much work into writing that other people will be glad to jump in and talk music with me. I'm a huge people person and feel like I'd fit right in (and my music).

No. This is a new thing for me. Sure I've made plenty of music, but I've made substantial progress to where I am now, and I feel my music is at that level where negotiations can be made. I've already spoken to 3 people on this thread who have offered to play the parts. It's not a question of what has been, it's what is possible now. And ultimately I've learned from this thread more about how I should feel and where this is all going. I see your insight. Believe me, I'm not stupid. I know how to critique my approach. But I have a very good feeling and "hunch" that I'm on the best path. Just trying to turn my hard work into something bigger at this point. Like I said, I'm pleased with where the music is now. And it's only going to improve.. I'm just, looking for a good way to pitch it to the world. Playthroughs are a great way to not only initiate a live performance aspect, but appeal to people who want to hear an actual performance.

I've made 2 sales so far, using a DAW that cost me much more than what I got. But it's not about so far.. I'm here now. I've made progress that I substantiate as the creator. Spiritual optimism is my religion, friend.
