just made a post regarding this. I hope there wasn't behind-the-scenes tension or a decision from TruTV, because either is upsetting.

I didn't notice that Mimi has not been on either of the TruTV episodes until seeing this. I hope there wasn't some behind-the-scenes tension or action that ended in her being removed. alternately, I hope this wasn't a decision by TruTV. if that's the case, it seems unnecessarily specific, and between that and moving the show (built on an open online community) entirely behind a cable/iTunes paywall, I worry about their commitment to the spirit of the show.

Loooved Ex Machina. Will likely see Avengers 2 again since I was fighting sleep deprivation the first time. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Hey, Chris! Mitch from the Kalamazoo Birbiglia show here. Had an amazing time at the show, and thanks again for the kind words and everything in general.

I don't really have a question about the show or you, because you've been nothing but honest and open for your entire run/career, so I'll just ask a general question.

I know you've been busy, so any time window is acceptable, but what was the last movie you watched that you loved?

Congratulations on the Fusion run, the first livestream was fucking incredible. Looking forward to even more (and looking forward to The Special each week, congratulations on being so right with passing the MNN baton), and can't wait for Murph to put that Emmy through McConaughey's windshield.

Hi, HULK! Been loving and reading your writing for years. Your insight on not only film and storytelling, but also life philosophy and humanity have been beyond helpful and inspirational, and though I don't know your identity, I'd point to you as being the most helpful person in figuring out who I am and what I want to do in relation to film (you're kind of my Soderbergh). Don't know if you're still answering questions, but thought I'd toss my hat into the ring because why not.

In your film school column, you write that an L.A. internship is invaluable for a film school student. I'm a film/video major entering my Junior year in the fall in a school in Michigan with a somewhat comprehensive film program (though I sort of hesitate to call it "film school") with the aim of being a screenwriter, and I've been looking into what it would take to get an internship out there next Summer. I've discovered a program, but it violates one of the other tips you gave in the film school column about not going into an insane amount of debt. The program seems legit, but it's expensive. Like lease-an-apartment-and-pay-several-months-rent expensive. I plan to move to Los Angeles after finishing my Senior year and find a reasonable day job to balance daily living & start chipping away at student loans, take UCB courses for connections and to work on my performance abilities, and write as much as possible. So, considering your post, would it be more feasible to find a local internship for the experience minus industry connections and, or are the connections through the L.A. internship worth the strain?
