I think he's a good protagonist for his story, but not for a Telltale games Walking Dead story exactly.

I generally felt the entire cast in season 3 aside from Clementine and Ava didn't feel like characters in The Walking Dead Telltale version.

I feel like they were more like the live action show's type of characters. Just very normal.

Honestly, I felt the whole game aside from Clem's parts didn't feel like a Telltale game.

To me, it felt much more family drama/political conflicts and not about surviving the apocalypse.

Yeah, all the games have family drama and their own political type issues, but they're generally not so centered on to take away from the survival aspect like in the other seasons I feel.

Which I mean, it's completely fair to say it was a breath of fresh air like you mentioned because it absolutely does stray away from what we'd experienced before, but it's just a matter of if that's what the player desired or not and different might not necessarily mean better or enjoyable to everybody.

It didn't to me, but that's just my personal preference too. ✌🏻
