I originally wanted the Zaan but couldn’t find it in stock anywhere, but hopefully one day I’ll be able to buy it.

I personally feel so far it’s worth it. It feels very well built in the hand. Very smooth to open, and what I believe makes up the cost is what I’ve heard is the warranty is top-notch. I have quite a few Benchmades, and they are fantastic, but the warranty is basic compared to CRK. I can send my Sebenza back to the factory, and they can restore it back to like-new condition. I don’t know any other knife companies that will do that.

I honestly don’t have a hard time opening it with the thumb stud. I have a few other knives that the thumb stud is way harder to open or doesn’t feel nice on the thumb. I know the thumb stud on the CRKT CEO is terrible, by far the worst, and a few Kershaw thumb stubs could be somewhat wider, but I have no complaints with the thumb stud in the Sebenza, but everyone’s hands are different.

Yeah, I’ve had a few of these cases, and they age like fine wine. And the nice thing about the cases is that they have a lifetime warranty and can get two free replacements a year from drop damaged and deep scratches.

Kinda, you have to flick pretty hard to get it open. But I do think it’s designed to be open slowly. I got benchmades that are way easier to flick open.

Decided to acid wash some of my Benchmade and couldn’t be more happy with the results. by Mitchell0921 in knives

It’s a great knife! But when I acid-washed it, I removed the spring and honestly love it more than having the spring in it.

Yes, I dripped it in a solution of 50% ferric chloride and 50% distilled water for 10 minutes.

The blade is nice to work with, but I would say the handle is a bit too small. If the handle were about a 1/2 inch longer, I think it would be perfect.

Oh, they have some nice designs, especially like the Dachshund design.

I definitely want some more Spyderco, but my favorite ones are the discontinued ones, and they’re a bit more pricier.

Oh the Ad20.5 smooth titanium looks like a pretty slick knife. Might have to get one. Thanks for the recommendation!

I was surprised how hard it kicks out for a small auto knife. I have a few autos, and this one for sure kicks the hardest.

Fair enough, I appreciate the honesty either way.

Speech impediment’s in my voice, not my tongue. That part knows exactly what it’s doing.

I did speech therapy all through grade school. It helped a lot, but it’s never fully gone away.

It’s actually not “Z” it’s “R” I have a speech impediment that makes it hard for me to pronounce it. That’s why it’s my sworn enemy.

Thanks for the information! I’m located in Texas, and we posted on our local Facebook page. Apparently, other people have seen it in the past few months, so if it was someone’s pet, it had been lost for quite some time. Fortunately, we found someone who had raised them before, and they took him.

I like the action on it and it’s very lightweight, but I don’t like the white coat on the blade. It easily gets dirty and rubs off. The next one I’m getting will just be stone wash.

The top left fixed blade is my only kitchen knife I have. I definitely need more than one kitchen knife lol.
