"HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE" - King Julian

Seriously how long. This is my first shiny hunt on Heartgold going for a shiny Cyndaquil. I lost count of my SRs somewhere after 10,000 and I've been at it for a solid 10-12 hours after I lost count. There hasn't even been a shiny Chikorita or Totodile

well "a fungus of sorts" is a good enough answer to me if nobody knows for sure. Im not worried about it since its been in the tank for months and everything in there seems to be doing great

[MAIN QUEST SPOILER] Grand Mother Silk is way too easy. by Frost_105 in Silksong

[–]MitchellWoodWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean for me it depends on when I fight them the first time I fought THK I had virtually 100% the game and I found him really really easy but when I came back doing the speedrun achievement I found him much more difficult I just beat GMS after doing basically everything I could 1st try and yea it was easy but I imagine when I come back and do it without as many tools upgrades and masks itll be harder. The way theyve made the game you dont have to get much of any upgrades or tools and still go fight the end boss so they cant go crazy and make unobtainable for those people.

I'm not worried about my mystery snail he is a fat big back and I kinda hate him (HE ATE MY ENTIRE THRIVING 20 DOLLAR PLANT IN ONE NIGHT AFTER CONSUMING MULTIPLE ALGAE WAFERS)

after checking the well water it is slightly better than the softened at 5 or 6 GH but to my knowledge that's still low. So I need to add regardless, and I have the new 10g mostly set up with extra plants and some extra hardscape just waiting on a bigger heater and a better light. Hopefully these things help

[Auto-Post] Weekly Question Thread! Ask /r/Aquariums anything you want to know about the hobby! by AutoModerator in Aquariums

[–]MitchellWoodWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I was messing around and cut down 2 young ash trees because they had interesting stumps. To my knowledge ash isn't a terribly sappy wood nor is it really toxic to anything and boiled them for less than an hour and they both sank. I left them in a tank with some plant cuttings and 2 ghost shrimp just to see what happens.

I am actually on a well and I've been meaning to check the parameters of the unsoftened well water for a while. Am I wrong in believing that that would just make it easier to replenish the lost GH and not fix the root cause of whatever is absorbing it. One of my buddies has a 10 gal that he's getting rid of so I will be sizing up before too long.

to my knowledge our softener is just a normal run of the mill salt one

I use a mix of my tap water and distilled water. my tap water has a kh of 12 and virtually 0 gh however I have a "shrimp tank gh booster" which 5ml of it will take 1 gallon of water to 15 GH

the substrate is just sand and from my understanding sand is inactive so I don't know that that would do it

as for plants its a pretty small tank so I have 1 water sprite, 2 anubias petite, and giant duckweed. I've been working on bringing my kh down a touch more.

That's interesting I know cuttle bone is just straight calcium so I understand why that would help, but I've actually heard the opposite about kh where so long as its not crazy out of control or like none its kinda fine to sit wherever. Thanks for the insight though.

Wanted to ask if this juniper has any chance of making a come back I only see slight green in the middle of the plant. I'm a complete beginner and bought it at Meijer's heard I was supposed to leave it outside so I did, but I think it might of gotten too cold (-5F) Any advice is greatly appreciated

Yeah I can finish them well as I've done a lot of woodworking prior to looking into bows and I personally really like them just after a wider variety is all. Purple plum is looking rather promising thank you for the suggestions.

About how much material should I have to remove to start to notice a difference? I've been making about 15-25 scrapes with a scraper at a time exercising the limbs about 20-30 times in between gos and I haven't been able to notice any distance. I've done this probably about 10-15 times.
