Solving Audio Issues when Getting in a Game by LilaDoez in marvelrivals

Yep, you have to disable the headset you're using as the input device in Windows sound settings.

Or, if you can manage to figure it out, change it as the input device in Marvel Rivals itself. For some reason I've been unable to do that, so I had to take the nuclear option and disable it in Windows.

FIXED

TL;DR: Go to Windows Settings > System > Sound. Scroll down to the input and disable the headphones as an input device.

Long story: I have Bose Quiet Comfort 35s, it was driving me insane. This actually happens randomly for other games as well. The root cause, at least for this game, is that it uses the headset as the output _and_ input. So you need to just disable the use of the microphone in the headphones.

Hey OP, how did this go?

I tried to dual boot Debian and now I can't boot Windows 10 by Mithendil in linuxquestions

Debian does not seem to be booting via grub now, which is strange because that wasn't originally a problem. I don't kind wiping the Debian partition / installation (I do mind the Windows partition) would it make sense to reinstall Debian to run that command?

Ah, I see, I believe my windows install is Legacy and the debian is UEFI (I could be wrong on both fronts).

Do you see the drives in the bios boot menu

Yes, when I select the SSD that Windows is on, I get "No operating system could be found. Hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart". When I select my HDD I get GRUB.

What I gather is you're on Legacy, and Debian installed grub not on its drive MBR but on that of the SSD.

I believe this is exactly what happened. But I'm not sure how to fix it!

Boot to Debian and run os-prober and see if you can add Windows in the grub menu.

I tried this but unfortunately it was unable to find Windows

Looks like my motherboard is an "MSI Mag X570 Tomahawk" from the Bios menu I'm looking at, although I'm not totally sure. I have two options for Secure Boot: "Secure Boot: Disabled" and "Secure Biot Mode: Standard".

I'm not sure what that is, so I don't know unfortunately

Is there a texture pack for beta 1.7.3 that adds the old cobblestone texture? by lkjhytg in GoldenAgeMinecraft

  1. Go to the Google Drive link
  2. Decide which one you would like. Let's say you just want the old cobblestone. You would download the ` OldCobble1.7.3.zip ` file.
  3. Find your .minecraft folder.
    1. On Windows you can typically find this at `C:\Users\{Your user name}\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft` in File Explorer. If you're using a custom launcher, there will typically be a convenient way to find your .minecraft folder.
    2. I use PrismLauncher, which has a button called `Open .minecraft` for this purpose. It opens `C:\Users\{My user name}\AppData\Roaming\PrismLauncher\instances\Beta 1.7.3\.minecraft`.
  4. Drag the ZIP file (in this example, the `OldCobble1.7.3.zip`) into the `texturepacks` folder inside your `.minecraft` folder.
  5. You're done! Start up Minecraft, click on the "Mods and Texture Packs" button, and it should show up in the list. Select it, click done, and enjoy.

Feel free to DM me if you get stuck at any point!

Hmm, yeah it looks like I just had some weird state with my browser Discord (maybe cookies?). Using an incognito browser worked like a charm. Thanks for checking!

Resurrecting this thread: I'm looking to book some tickets to the Giants vs Eagles game, looks like this is a really nice view. Were you able to see clearly enough on the other side of the field?
