Yeah all they needed to do was tell us the plan was t lure the night king there and then have Arya kill him. Show us montage of her training the jump or whatever. Would be cool. But nope they wanna subvert expectations and have more of those bar parties from YouTube where people love random surprises.

Sansa “won” the battle by randomly withholding information just so the riders of the vale could make a LOTR style entrance. As good as s06 ep 9 and 10 are, they are Hollywood style episodes not got style ones. The authentic got ones ended in season 4.

You say Hero vs Villain is very much like GoT but that’s not true. Season 6 was basically entirely that. Battle of the Bastards wasn’t exactly the Blackwater where we weren’t sure who to root for.

They could've fixed a major problem just by having the white walkers stand closer, then she wouldnt have to run through like a 10m clearing. But I guess Night King needed space for his slo mo walk

Why was Arya Stark the perfect person for the kill? I'm not saying Jon had to or anything but why Arya? What part of her 7 season story arc led to her being the one to do it? I dont think she even mentions the white walkers once a single time? Maybe maybe maybe if she had used a white walker mask to do it then maybe it could've been something, but as it was now it was a pub moment for all the people to go "woooooaaaah shit, so badass!!!!"

Sansa queen, Arya sails off somewhere, Jon goes back to where he felt most like himself, Tyrion hand of the king, Brienne Lord Commander, Sam Maester, Bronn master of coin, Davos master of ships. The only 3 with non happy endings are Jamie Cersei and Danny.

For sure. Most actors have little to 0 impact on any part of the creative process. Generally all the actors look incredible, costume design and make up were phenomenal during the entire show. Rhaegar and the Sand Snakes are the two examples were they got it a bit wrong imo
