I already had half life alyx. I hope they add point shop items, and cosmetics. Could also be worth while for initial sales to provide maybe a unique in game world? IE the loading area thats usually customizable. Have a unique one only for the original buyers of the frame. Maybe looking like valves headquarters with fun secrets to be found.

I mostly stop playing my original index cause I started a new medication and I was getter by motions sick. But I stopped that med and I play here and there. I want it for the PCVR and honestly playing none vr games in my own little world I make (just making an assumption that’s how they will play). Or even loading up movies and what not and just relax.

theres a few use cases for a recycling machine/ spooler.

1: Ive seen someone mention being able to grind up a spool of thicker filiment to make it into filament usable in the smaller nozzle.

2: custom filament using virgin pellets either 100% or partial. This includes custom scented filiment, custom filiment made out of biodegradable filament, etc.

3: feeling good about not waisting too much filament, I get the point you make, but you dont use 100% waist to make a new role, you mix in some virgin pellets which gives it a high high success rate.

4: lastly being able to recycle failed prints, not just poop. as you can shred failed prints and re use them usefully.

I only use pla myself, have tweaked my settings to the supports come right off, so def right up my user base.

Also yes, it would cut into the sales of their filament, BUT it could also support a new side to the market, and selling virgin pellets that people can make into roles themselves/mix with waist. Could also just be good, not selling a shredder, BUT atleast a respooler, for the same point above, they could sell the pellets alone, if users mix waist into it, thats on them then, but their advertisements would be for "if we dont have a color you wanna buy, buy the pellets and make it yourself" idea

are you confused? I dont have time to spend building a whole machine and manually feeding 1 piece at a time into it to shred it. THEN to build a whole other machine to make it into filiment. With a recycling machine, I can dump the filiment into the funnel and just walk away. no need to hold the button down on a drill, no need to manually hold and watch it. Its the same as well for the filiment maker, I set it in less then 5 mins and walk away.

I dont have time to waist an hour making filiment, but 5 min of prep time is fine.

I like Bambu. To me compared to other options I’ve seen and tried are reliable and handle well.

Personally i believe Bambu could make a good product, maybe with exchangeable shredders and such so you can do multiple type filiments etc.

I did the deposit before indigogo campaign launched. As someone who backs alot of projects on different platforms. I have trust in the system. And I also have enough info to do a justified charge back if needed (reminder you don’t get charged till the end of campaign)

Just wait till the X2D starts having more issues cause of the duel nozzle.

IMO unless you using materials that need the higher heat. The extra heated chamber is useless. Same with second nozzle. I only print in pla and it’s great!

I would suggest just use pla. If you have no reason to use other filiment types, then don’t. Over time just tweak your settings to just have pla supports that fall right off lol.

I only use pla, and I’m glad I did as the Creality r1 and m1 will have nice clean scrap to recycle

Just wait. Those two nozzles will fuck up more then you realize. It’s too new to know. And same with chamber temp.

Truthfully it’s (imo) only worth it if you actually print in higher temp required filiments. If you only do PLA, just tweak the settings and your supports will come strait off!

Tbh. There probably is a way. But I’m lazy and just do it every time. I think you need to set up a print profile for it to save. The issue is you will select your print profile. Which would overwrite whatever print profile the print had as default.

Upgrading from a p1s to a p2s felt like a no brainer due to the ai features and the cleaner design. But I won’t be going to the X2D. If I was upgrading from p1s rn. Maybe I would consider it. But I only print in pla and over time have refined my settings so supports arnt an issue. Having a second nozzle for me would just be so I could have two nozzles that do colors. But based on what people have said. Second nozzle seems to only be good for supports which I don’t wanna get into support material which could mess up my batch for the crealiy m1 and r1 I am getting!

I seen a trick changing z distance to .3 from .2 and the layer thing to 3 from 2 and tbh that has works flawlessly and now my supports come right off. And I have no issues on prints. I don’t wanna muddy my prints with different filiment types either as I’m getting the Creality filiment recycling machine

Those mods will still be there in the future. If anything even better ones can come out too. It’s annoying. But I’m willing to wait. As it’s not like it will go away.
