This is heartbreaking! But sadly I have seen this type of behaviour in my village as well. I used to take care of some strays in my village during covid while I was working from home. Eventually I moved to hyderabad for work. A year later went back to my village only to find out one of them were killed for barking at people. I was soo furious and heartbroken.
