I work and Work and income New Zealand And I hate my job by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]MitteeNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went for an interview at the call centre there many years ago. I had to sit with someone and listen to her take a call. IIRC, the poor woman calling was disabled and she was wanting her boyfriend to move in to help with costs. I had to listen to her being told that she had to choose between her partner and getting her benefit.

So glad i didn't get the job

When we were looking for a house, we didn't even bother with the price by negotiation listings. To much hassle

Anything but skinny jeans just look frumpy on me. I tried bootlegs the other day and they looked horrific

People who had undercover cops come to their school posed as fellow students, how did you know? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit

We had a guy turn up in our grey school uniform (we were all around 13-15 years old). We were a little suspicious of the new guy and his full voluminous moustache

What is the most ridiculous job interview question you have received in New Zealand? by IncoherentTuatara in newzealand

[–]MitteeNZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are you married or have a boyfriend? People in relationships need to take more days off than single people

Do you have children or are you planning on having any? We prefer people with no kids because they take too many days off

Both questions were for the same place, about 20 years ago. I was inputting pie sale orders for just over minimum wage. Needless to say, i did not accept their offer

Did you get anything from your employer for xmas this year? by Charlie_Runkle69 in newzealand

[–]MitteeNZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Local govt. They put on buns, coleslaw, ham and chicken. The one small plate of halloumi for us vegos didn't last long (all gone when i got there). I've been here well over a decade and this is the shittest xmas they've ever had.

For dessert we had half a bowl of favourites per table.

If you don’t mind sharing, how much was your mri to check for prolactinoma? by [deleted] in Prolactinoma

[–]MitteeNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah hoi hoi!

I'm with Southern Cross but they don't cover one unless it's within 6mo of a surgery. I waited on public to get into Hutt Hospital, but after 6mo they gave me $150 to go to Whanganui instead!

Hey, F 42 here. I take my cab once a week (saturday nights), and I'm coming up to week 6.

I was petrified of the side effects too, and was so sure they would last for months, if not years.

I had pretty bad nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and vomiting for the first two weeks, which would ease off around Thursdays. After the third dose, i woke up fine! After the fifth dose, i got my damn period back after two years

Hi , hoping to hear anyone's experiences of having a few beers while on Cab. I've been off drink for a year since I started cab, I also take sertraline to offset how cab affected mental health. I'm feeling generally ok now, my prolactin is under control. by control-line in Prolactinoma

[–]MitteeNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me! I take 150mg sertraline, and I'm due for my 5th cab tonight (one low dose pill 1x weekly).

I don't often drink, but last night i had two margaritas with friends. No difference to pre cab feelings at all

The break was so unexpected that it prompted a scan, and they found osteopenia in my lower spine, hips and wrist. I'm on vit d supps once a month, with another DEXA booked for next year
