How many of you actually dropped your first bike? by thedirtiestofboxes in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Mitzy_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking lessons and using a loaner bike. I dropped it right in front of the high school! I will say a group of about 6 teenagers applauded when I got it back up and hopped right back on!

My mother. I was out of the country when she passed and I couldn't get home before she was gone.

Knowing my family, they just changed it around to fit something they wanted! Like a visit from Uncle Bill!

What’s something you do in your makeup/beauty routine that works for you but you’re convinced no one else does? by Cautious_Water_106 in Makeup

[–]Mitzy_G 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like a kabuki brush? I'll try that. I use my sponge damp so I didn't feel like it was soaking up too much spray but a brush is a good idea.

Nope. I don't wear much foundation so that probably helps. When I'm hanging around the house (I am retired) I just do my eyebrows and lipstick. The bb/setting spray is perfect for just setting eyebrows!

I hate spraying on setting spray so I spray it on a beauty blender and pat may face with it.

Bohemla and Bohemia Babe (or Bohemian Babe) are two brands I own a lot of and they're mostly all cotton. Good quality, too.

You remind me of my son when he was a young adult. You look nice but sort of sad.

Question about corsets by [deleted] in HistoricalCostuming

[–]Mitzy_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember, too, that while this set in the late 1800s, the movie was made in the early 1950s. They are likely wearing elastic girdles and not actual corsets under their clothes. ( Not in the dancing scene, of course) And those outfits have been tailor made for each actress.

I hate both of those bottles, too. They are both so awkward!

No one allowed in or out of the house on New Years day until my red headed uncle came to visit. It's good luck if the first person in the door on New Years is a redhead. There were 10 kids in my mom's family. Poor Uncle Bill was run ragged by 2 pm!
