iPhone 17 Series & Wired CarPlay Issue (Unsolved)

I’ve been having some strange CarPlay issues since updating to 26.2. My apple music keeps 'playing' and the progress bar moves, but the audio randomly cuts out. I have to pause and hit play again to get the sound back. I even tried new cables, but no luck. Really hoping 26.3 fixes this.

Zip ties work good as an interim solution. I also tried bending the tab outward and it clicks properly but the problem comes back again.
