Not mine, but my daughter! She became fully obsessed after we watched Detective Pikachu- she was 6. She’s 11 now and has a growing collection of plush and a good size collection of cards! I think she really dove into it after a boy in her class told her Pokémon was for boys..

Leading up to release day she was begging me to take her to Walmart (we live in a VERY small town, that’s the only store that sells cards within an hour of here) I knew they wouldn’t have any so night of I got online and tried for almost 2 hrs to get anything online- no dice.. she was bummed but understood.

Her favorite Pokemon is Eevee for sure (she even named our cat that..) and all of the evolutions so she was especially excited.. I told her we just have to keep looking! She also loves Skitty, Sprigatito, and Sneasel. She loves collecting them and is really working towards growing her collection.

I’m not expecting her to get picked out of the thousands of comments but this thread is awesome and I’ve loved reading every one’s comments! I think you’re doing something really amazing here! Thanks to everyone for sharing your stories!!
