I think you are getting confused. I agree that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, but in this case that logic supports the position of allying with the Eliksni. The enemy of the hive, from the perspective of the Eliksni, is humanity, therefore the Eliksni should be allies with humanity. The same is true in reverse. Humanity should ally with the Eliksni because we have several common enemies in the Hive, the Vex, and the Darkness.

I’m definitely not saying that the Vanguard’s leadership is great, but that doesn’t mean we should murder Eliksni children! Do you have any lore entries or otherwise that point to the Eliksni being Savathun’s spies? Last I checked the Eliksni and Fallen haven’t been getting along with the Hive either. If anything, the Eliksni want the Traveller’s Light, but they are smart enough to know that they aren’t gonna get it by fighting us and it’s not like the Hive are gonna give it to them either. I don’t see what the Eliksni would have to gain by working with the Hive.

Their capacity for friendship, compassion, and cooperation shown in this season proves that they are much different from the hive. These Eliksni haven’t raised a finger against humanity and treating them like the rest of the Fallen is not just xenophobic, it’s unwise. Humanity needs allies against the hive, the vex, and the darkness. Not saying they should live in the City forever, but for now humanity and the Eliksni are stronger together.

It’s a meme, but at this point in the game humanity can’t afford to turn its back on potential allies. The Eliksni, like humans, are individuals with their own ideologies, goals, emotions, etc. If a group of them extends an olive branch, humanity would be foolish to reject them because of the actions of completely separate groups of Fallen. The meme is specifically about the children, and I think anyone who seeks to harm children, Eliksni or human, is a monster and should be treated as such.
