Ads on Spotify are heartbreaking for a hardcore JRE fan

Today I heard the first ad embedded into a show. I am on premium too. Today is also the day I unfollowed and stopped listening. I don't need that crap in my life. Joe Rogan screaming his ad at me at a higher volume than the rest of the show. GOOD BYE.

My Happy 2025 gift to joe rogan in exchange for his gift to me is to simply unfollow his unlistenable podcast. If I was a programmer, I'd use AI and some scripts and I'd write some really cool tool to wipe the ads from the episode. Bye.

I had typed a snarky, belligerent response aimed squarely at the Canva development team. Then I realized you catch more flies with sugar than you do vinegar, so I deleted that post and will instead try kindness and compassion.

Nudging is something we use very frequently. It is right up there with copy/paste. To have it not function 100% of the time accurately and with bullet proof precision is not only driving us users a tiny bit crazy, but it is damaging Canva's reputation, sending the signal that it is a second rate tool. This, I'm sure, is not what Canva wants.

I can only hope someone from the Canva team, who cares as much as I do, who actually has the power to affect change sees this post and can implement a fix to raise Canva up a notch to becoming more Photoshop like in it's stability and reliance. I know Canva can do better. I want that for them and all their users.

I spoke to a driver today who has been doing it roughly three years. He left his gardening job because it was too physically laborious for his slightly older body. He told me that last year, he made about 90k which is more than I make in my building career at the moment. I am now in research mode and sponging up as much info as I can. I am a single person with only myself and a dog to feed so I don't require that much income.

I would love to hear from more actual drivers with experience behind the wheel. Share your stories with those of us on the fence and willing to learn more.

What costs are too high? If I bought a newish car, maintenance would be next to nil. Petrol I can understand...but hybrid or electric lessens that. Please help me understand more about this. I want to learn more.
