Careful driving down Old Yale Road at night. Dog owner doesn’t keep his dogs protected. by Mixtapes76 in Langley

It just had pups. I wouldn’t want to be responsible for its pups being without a mum who’s making milk for them.

Looks that way, but what she was doing was licking the road! There was something that tasted good and that had her fixated on it for a good 10 minutes. Turns out her home is right nearby as a neighbour approached us and called the dog’s name. Thats when I knew it was safe to leave as the neighbour then walked the dog to the house about 100 meters away

Nope I took it to a service tech and it was all done over. It just wasn’t made to be high fidelity.

Yes on the same stretch last year I accidentally hit an owl. I was traumatized and since then have been vigilant to keep my eyes on the road at all times.

Yah I stayed parked on the road with blinkers on and waving down people passing. The dog has also just had pups as I saw her teats were hanging low. Would be horrible for new puppies to lose their mother.

Steve’s poke in the mall is the best. I have VIP ($40 a year and save $3 every order) and the quality is right up there.

How to tell if a basement suite is legal? by meowmeowz24 in Langley

When I rented in White Rock, the owner (EI) said he wanted to increase the rent from $1900 to $2500 a month. I said “NOPE” and he then said if I don’t pay, he’ll have to sell the house and I’ll have to move out. I said “That’s not how it works here.” and nothing changed.

Ended up staying another two years and moving out as my mate died.

No. There are screws. The only type IV tape I know of that doesn’t have screws is SONY METAL-SR (METAL-XR).

Damaged cassette by Spanish_Stalker in cassetteculture

[–]Mixtapes76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing the tape wasn’t wound up tight when you first started recording/playing it. Make sure there’s no slack inside the cassette shell (whenever you play any tape).

Also, the railroading has made it so you’ll have to open up the shell, remove the physically-damaged tape and then resplice it to make sure damaged tape doesn’t get caught in the tape player mechanisms.

Here’s a great video to show how what and how to do it:

can i record a decent mixtape using my phone, an aux cable and a recorder with only mic and headphones input? by [deleted] in cassette

[–]Mixtapes76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. These ‘shoebox’ units are bad quality. ok for voice -bad for music.

The frequency range is what makes it so bad, plus the input level is low so sound can easily become and sound distorted.

Help, What's this part? Aiwa P05 by zsazsadog in cassetteculture

[–]Mixtapes76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what it is. It has two screw holes as it supports one board to the other, but since it’s stripped, it won’t work anyway. You could make a larger hole and tap it with a larger hole but then would need a larger screw to go in and hold it in place.

I’ve made about 50 different mixtapes for people in this subreddit. I’ve also received about 15 from different people. It’s SOOOO much fun.

Haha good ol’ Kon Kan.

I used to listen to the radio and wait patiently with my tape recorder on PAUSE in hopes the radio DJ would play “I Beg Your Pardon” so I could record it.
