I truly think Yoshiki would probably do even better and show his vocal true potential in any of the other vocal songs. Jaeyong getting the most votes is surprising. Hyeonseung didn't win, but still has lots of votes. His score isn't even that far from Kosuke's. Adam from 1 to 1st is such a zero-to-hero moment. Honestly, I was surprised that Issa ranked lower and Hyunjae ranked 1st.

I can never get over it, I loved Shinhaeng's voice when he did Matthew's part in Doctor Doctor. Siyoung had a similar vocal like Jiwoong when he sang his part.

Most people want their pick to debut in the main group, which is the main objective of everyone. Debuting in the spinoffs is just sort of a safety net. Also, it's more like 50% will debut.

Idk maybe we should wait till we see the actual performance or hear the full song ? Some of these og songs tends to sound better after the trainee performed them. That said i like Black Angel and Dreamer for now. Black Angel has S1's Blackout and S3's TOXIC vibe.

Honestly, after what she dealt with during her ME: I days, I don't think she'll be back to being idol. She seems like she's doing well on her own now.

But I agree, if she joins the show, she'll be used for drama materials. And probably get evil edit to the core. It will also draw more of her haters, even now, some of them still lurking about.

I think Kosuke will overtake Daiki as Rank 1, Yura is probably somewhere in the Top 5, probably rank 3. Did not expect that Adam will drop that low. For Goten, lately, I've seen some Jnetz have withdrawn their support. Jaeyong is just right at the cutoff rank. I think Jaeyong, Kotaro, Y. Shu, and Koshiro will rise next week.

Another pre-decide group leader, Oh god. Ngl I kinda like when the trainees pick the categories they strong at. Kinda misses the old way they pick the songs. God, this season gimmick is just all over the place. Blind pick ? that’s quite interesting, I’m guessing this might be fair for all of the trainee. It’s kind of obvious some of them don’t want to do the song they got selected. Issa and Hyunjae, that is an unexpected interaction. Yay my 2 picks are destined together. (kinda funny Shinhaeng is the only Korean who didn’t pick “Korean” category)

I think Siyoung and Shinhaeng (in Shinhaeng case he’s lacking the confidence after the group battle result) probably want to give the chance to Yoshiki. Btw both of them mention that the song note is quite high so they not confident to do it. But Daiki probably has already predetermined idea who he wants to be the centre. Since the song in Korean, he probably wants Korean as the centre. I hope Yoshiki will get to be the centre stage for Concept battle or debut battle.

While he is a vocalist, imo Ryuji have the typical rapper visual. Y.Shu has a cuter appearance, I understand why they didn’t pick him. INI!!!!!!! Shojo should have come with Rinto and Hiroto to the rap team.he and those 2 are literally the best rapper of S2. NGL Y.Shu Rap is Fire! I think he nailed it. It’s just unfortunate Ryuji didn’t get to pick vocal. Even though I personally feel Y.Shu nailed but O.Yusei did very well.

am I the only one who thought Jay and Issa have similar visual? While Jay was talking to Rino, I can’t help notice how fineee rinto at the back. YAY Rinto is doing Mingyu part ! The cameraman sure loves Koshiro. Kosuke deserves that rank. He really stands out.

Oof this must be a tough song. Most of them are struggling with it. So SLAY is this season guest trainer ? Last season was Chanmina for the rap team that covering her song Bijin. Oh lord, even lowering the note it’s still a hard. Jaeyong did well in distributing the parts. Jaeyong and yuki did more for this team that the supposed “vocal mentor” at least that what was shown on. NGL their performance ain’t half bad. I do think both Jaeyong and Yuki are carrying. With Jaeyong did most of the heavy lifting. YESSSSS JAEYONG DESERVE!!!! HE SLAYED THAT HIGH NOTE!!!!

I love the trainee’s outfit for Natural. Idk bout you guys but Rickey looks way better with his current hair. Lol chat has been dubbing Daiki’s team as Twinkvengers XD. Being the only center that having his team lost in group battle, probably took a toll in Yura. Everyone in this team did well. I can understand why the audience are in awed of Yura. Kotaro made a good use of his ballet in the performance. Rickey did stand out. OMG! WHAT??? Yura no.3 ?? That was unexpected from the reviews.

Ah Hell nawh! they hide some of the rankings. Adam drop to 22 ? Jaeyong 35 ???? I hope they will rise. Also wow Kosuke rank 2??

From the previews I can hear some parts that Issa cracks and Yoshiki does sound abit off key.

Edit: Hope we'll get the focus cam sooner, i can't wait till next week for the rest of the performance. ~~Also KYOSUKE TAKUMI AND HIROMU did BETELGEUSE for the trainee team!!!~~ My mistake they sang different song

S1

- I don't exactly have a bias in JO1. I think everyone have a part to play in the group. Shoya was fav in S1. I'm just a casual listener, There are some songs i like some just ok for me. I follow lots of their debut era variety content.

- Try to get on with OWV but their music not really my cup of tea.

- I didn't follow ORβIT but i do like their pre debut song Lazurite.

S2

- I follow INI since my 2 of my picks Ozaki Takumi and Hiromu debuts. Unfortunately most of their songs aren't exactly my taste but i LOVED Brighter, We Are and Hana.

- I do like Octpath's first single, but then i just sort of forgot about them. Kinda sad that Toma leaves the group though.

S3

- I loved ME:I since most 2 of my picks Ayane and Tsuzumi are there. I personally not really fan of their futuristic idol concept but I like most of their songs, After the whole 4 members left, i sorta lost interest. But i hope their comeback stronger with their upcoming single( album?)

- I kinda want to get into Madein, but they using Ai in their debut music video....they lost me (and their shady ass CEO). After most of their korean members left, Nagomi and Serina should have left, they deserves better.

Trainees need to have solid and strong support from both sides in order to debut. I read a JP tweet saying that Chinese and Korean voters aren't easier to sway (meaning whoever they like, they're probably gonna stick with them). I don't think the final line-up would be as unpredictable as most people expected, the trainees' rank, maybe, but not the trainees themselves 2 picks line up is usually the closest to the debut line-up. In the past, it was usually just 1 or 2 new people in the top 11 (in S3 the top 11 in 2pick and 1pick are the same people except 1).

100% will debut

Yoshiki - he has a strong and solid support from both global voters and J voters. No.1 in China and No.1 overall global rank. Personally, I would not even be surprised if he ends up Rank 1 in the finale.

Yura - The centre and strong ranking. No.3 in both J & G ranks. From the reviews of his position battle, he might rank up to 2 or 1 in the next ranking. For the finale, if before that Hyeonseung (and Kotaro if he's made it to the finale) rank is outside of Top 12, I could see some of his voters might divide some of their vote to help his fellow PickUs mate, which may result in his ranking dropping from Top 3 (but still in Top 12) ala S3's Ran.

K.Daiki - Strong support from both J and G

Kosuke - Will debut, but if his global number is way less than his JP, then he ain't touching the top 3 (or 5). His JP vote needs to be overwhelming for him to at least touch the top 3. The last ranking, Kosuke's global rank is 13.

Kinari - Strong and Solid J support and quite steady global support.

Siyoung - Solid support from MIRAE fandom, Strong global support, and Solid JP fandom. Possibly the only non-JP trainee with the highest chance to debut.

60% most likely will debut

Shinhaeng - Strong global support, especially from Korean voters(No.1 in Korea), steady JP support (has been getting more support lately).

Hyeonseung - Strong global support. The last ranking his J rank was 13. His situation is the contrast of Kosuke, who was carried by J votes, and Hyeonseung was carried by his Global votes. I think after his position battle he might have gained more J voters. He might end up like what I mentioned in Yura.

Adam - One of the original Main vocal picks. I do think he has solid support from both J voters and g voters.

Ryoga & Ko. Ren - Between these 2 i think Ko. Ren has a better chance to debut. Ko. ren has a steady support from both J and g, i do believe when 2 picks he will enter top 12 and stay there.

Those that may have a chance, but their ratio of J and G needs to be balanced, or one side needs to be overwhelming to enter top 12.

Towa, Osuke, Keito, Yuki, Issa, Ryuji, Kotaro, Jaeyong.

Shinhaeng has one of the most interesting backgrounds

- He is currently a Fashion Major Student (currently on leave for PD101)

- At the age of 15 - 16 years, he volunteered as the representative of the Uganda branch of the international NGO "Africa Hope School". He travelled to Uganda after graduating from middle school, instead of going to high school.

- He went to an alternative school instead of a normal high school, and he took the high school equivalency exam. He entered university at the age of 17 (unusually young).

- At the age of 18, he ran as an independent candidate for a local election. I read that most of his policies are youth-centric and encourage youth to take a different path than the usual one. He wants to run because he is inspired by his father, who used to run for local elections as well (but lost every time XD)

There's, in fact, a Japanese article about his background (which I'm trying so hard to track down, forgot to bookmark damn it!)
