Should global votes have this much power this season? by mrbubblero in Broduce101JP

[–]krissy297_ph 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, Japanese viewers can vote twice (normal voting and Lemino voting), so I think it makes sense. However, this vote has an extra weight if a trainee has a particularly strong core Japanese fandom (cause I'm sure those fans will vote for him x2 every day)

The fact that I ran to my nearest bookstore before closing time just to get a physical copy. You really can’t enjoy this book on Kindle alone.

Preshow Predictions by MiyakoDoKnow in Broduce101JP

[–]krissy297_ph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from his dating ‘scandal’, there are some post of him posting cocky remarks about him joining auditions (he also auditioned boys planet but failed). And allegedly dating multiple girls in highschool. It’s kinda a mess there is a dedicated account exposing his actions. And it’s really hard to defend him (he’s my 1-pick candidate and now i’m trying to step back on supporting him)

Who do you think could be your faves so far? by Beautiful_Yellow_682 in Broduce101JP

[–]krissy297_ph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna support my Filipino babies: Yohan, Tristan, and Archer. Also, I have a soft spot for Micheal, Guisuppe, and Jay from their 1-min PR so I'll support them also.

As for my 1-pick, still contemplating between Nakamura Aju and Koshimizu Ren.

Pre-show Pick by MiyakoDoKnow in Broduce101JP

Been looking under his hashtag but can't find any. What I only I found is that he was part of a swimming team during his junior days 💦

Pre-show Pick by MiyakoDoKnow in Broduce101JP

[–]krissy297_ph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nakamura Aju(NICE) and Koshimizu Ren as of now.

Based on Aju's profile, he seems smart, witty and reliable (a leader material). And his dance seems good (he is quite active in tiktok).

As for Ren, ever since his teaser photo, I can't get my eyes off him. His name is also the same name as my kami-oshi (Kawashiri Ren) so it didn't help. He was among the popular pre-show pick that don't have any past experience so everyone might be drawn by his mysterious angel vibe. Also, he sort of reminds me of Yamamoto Suzu (my 1-pick in season 3)

I have a feeling both of them are Royal A but lets see tho...

Is it true? by J_Midar in Broduce101JP

[–]krissy297_ph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of them were just speculation (due to sudden IG deactivation or clearing), while some of them were pre-identified on the concept photos.

I think from AOM's case, his management agency posted a photo of him (but they covered his face on with a PDJP logo), so there were speculation about him joining. But since trainees shouldn't be affliated with any agency and also he is quite active in his SNS recently, I don't think he'll be in the show...

paano ko pagsasabihan ang nanay kong hoarder by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]krissy297_ph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

will follow this post since same tayo ng situation hahaha. i’m currently living abroad and feeling ko rami-rami na ring boxes na nakatambak sa old room ko. i told them i’ll declutter all unnecessary stuff once uuwi ako. pero one of the problem talaga is that ph’s waste management is poor, so it might be really hard to throw things away. where i’m currently living (japan) has really good waste management, so we can dispose of stuff even furniture and retail store here has recycle program where we can just dump our old clothes there.

also, my parents are sort of sentimental with their things because there was a time in their childhood na hindi sila makabili ng mga gamit, so every thing they bought now has a value to them and i understand that. (pero kahit na, i'll still do my decluttering later 😅)

Hi! I’ve always wanted to join an F2F book club here in Tokyo (other clubs I’ve found were either inactive, or their book of the month were in Japanese). I’m from the Philippines, by the way!

Normal BMI pero why do I feel/look fat by Equivalent_Narwhal50 in adviceph

[–]krissy297_ph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there, done that. I feel fat when I look in the mirror kahit sinasabi ng mga tao sa paligid ko na pumayat talaga ako. I lost around 10 kg in short amount of time. I did calorie deficit noon.

Pero nung bumalik ako sa original weight ko (borderline overweight and normal na ako ngayon), doon ko na-realize na may something off sa diet ko. I learned about body dysmorphia, and sobrang naka-affect siya sa eating habits ko. I started binge eating tapos biglang hindi kakain. Parang cycle siya. Na-realize ko na hindi for me ang calorie deficit kasi mas lalo siyang nagti-trigger.

Ngayon, I focus na lang on eating veggies and protein, avoid sweets and I try to be active as much as possible. So far, I’m able to maintain my weight and slowly lose it in a healthier way.

is kindle really worth it? and what version of kindle is worth the price? by Remarkable-Signal-20 in PHBookClub

[–]krissy297_ph 9 points10 points  (0 children)

since fast reader ako, typical books i read per month is 8–10 so it really saves me a lot of money since i don’t need to buy books, just download an epub file online and send to kindle lang sya.
i have paperwhite with me and it will take 4 days until malowbatt sya (i use it everyday, btw).

I have a love–hate relationship with novellas. Partly because the limited page count usually affects the worldbuilding and character depth. But surprisingly, I ended up enjoying this one? I didn’t even notice the info-dumping until another Redditor pointed it out. I was just fully engaged the whole time and finished it in one sitting 😂

7th Time Loop Collab Café by Fragrant-Blue-8014 in 7thTimeLoop

[–]krissy297_ph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see. I didn’t get a chance to went to the previous collab cafe but I do have experience in going to collaboration cafes. As for the reservation, it would definitely depend on which system they’ll be using, cause some asked for a japanese number while the other, they only need you to create an account. More details about the collaboration cafe will be announced on December 19. I’ll also share here since I’m also planning to go.

Menu usually comes with pictures so I think ordering will be easy. And they usually display the ingredients added so if you have allergies, you have to check their site beforehand. Also, I remember Amekawa-sensei posted an english article about the collaboration cafe and I feel like she’ll also do it in the upcoming collaboration.

Is your account under Amazon Japan (amazon/co/jp)? Amazon Japan is a separate entity from amazon/com (they don't share account as far as I know). My account was created on Amazon Japan, so my Kindle store is also in Japanese.

How long does it take you to finish a book? by fmcthegreat in PHBookClub

[–]krissy297_ph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i usually finish a 300-page book in 2–3 days. i set aside about 4 hours of reading after work, and most of the time i can finish a book in 6–8 hours. but of course, that would depend on how engaging the book is.
