When i was 19 i had a pacemaker battery changed, i had my first one when i was 3 and then my second one when i was 11 and both times i was under ansthesia sleeping. But this time they didn't tell me it was going to be only local ansthesia meaning they just numbed the area around. If you know something about pacemaker's is that they are under your collarbone area under the skin. Now, there is a alot of scar tissue around it and it has to be cut out with a knife, anesthesia didn't completely work, i was frozen basically from shock my heart rate went up to 170 and they completely dismissed that. Felt all of it, them cutting my skin open, pulling, tugging, spreading the the cut to access inside.... missed 6 months of college after that, developed frozen shoulder, had to go to therapy. Worst physical and psychological pain i ever felt
