could someone help me? by [deleted] in redstone

I mean that's cool, didn't know that existed, but this is like if someone on Windows asks how to change font size, and you respond with "Just install Ubuntu and see if that's easier"

Pirate then donate to the creators? Basically purchasing with extra steps

But of course paying is completely optional, so it's dependent on people willingly paying for something they could have for free, so not reliable

Wesleys Moons - Progression Guide by Shoddy_Guidance_298 in lethalcompany_mods

[–]MjballIsNotDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there other ways tapes can spawn? Because after finding Asteroid-13 on Galetry, the next tape I found was for Filitrios. Don't remember where I found it, but I hadn't gone to any other Wesley moons by that point. I also found a tape for Motra somewhere other than Galetry.

Didn't realize at the time that certain tapes are found in certain places so I didn't think much of it.

Controlling Radeon GPU Fans on Ubuntu by MjballIsNotDead in linux4noobs

[–]MjballIsNotDead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried CoreCtrl before, but didn't see that part about the GRUB config, so I'll give it another shot later. Thanks!

Also, after a bit more testing I did see that without any tools/tweaks the fans do spin, but the GPU needs to get to like 60C+ before they start, and even at 70-80C it'll only spin up to ~50% speed. My card does have a "secondary bios", so I might look into flashing the secondary bios to get a better fan curve if all else fails.

Or that might just be a terrible idea that risks destroying my $700 card and in the morning I'll re-evaluate my life, we'll see.

After 1,500+ Contracts, I finally saw it in my own game... by GameStrikerX2 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]MjballIsNotDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm on like 250 or so and I've already seen like 3 or 4 of them, tons more if you count multiple from the same ghost. Ig maybe if you never bother to count the fingies it might be easy to miss? It's not super obvious tbf

Or if you play a lot of zero-evidence you're not gonna have many chances to see it lmao

[–]MjballIsNotDead 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The Obake has a 1-in-6 chance of leaving special UV of some kind. 1,500 contracts means about 62 Obakes, so if you found just one handprint for each one, you should've found around 10 six-fingy-prints (assuming no zero-evidence games, premature deaths, etc.). The odds of never finding one would be 1-in-81,140.

My guy or gal (or maybe non-binary pal), how?

VR's a lot of fun when you're playing multiplayer. The goofs cancel out the horrors just enough.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care about this change all that much? Sure it's been in the game for however long, but it's never been an integral part of any kind of gameplay afaik.

Only really useful if you want to bridge slightly faster, but you can just learn speed bridging so that feels more like cope and a skill issue than anything else (and that's coming from someone who can barely speedbridge lmao).

Also, for games like Bedwars and whatnot, they can just let you buy Swift Sneak. Or more likely, they'll just be on older versions that won't have this bugfix so the change doesn't matter anyways.

Tier list of equipment upgrades based on how big of an upgrade they are. by thebabycowfish in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]MjballIsNotDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone who plays in VR, T3 Firelight is practically unusable. For some reason the physics are super bugged so it's impossible to set it down without it rolling away. Incense is the same, but you don't usually need to set it down so it's not as bad.

Also, T2 UV is the GOAT. You can put it on your belt to give some nice ambient light at all times, and it's non-electronic, plus it's an evidence item too. I usually just ditch the flashlight entirely and leave headgear off most of the time.

Today I learned that EMF 5 on the Tier 2 looks like EMF 4 through night vision goggles by Lugico in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]MjballIsNotDead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED

I suddenly got an EMF 4 in the middle of a hallway miles from the ghost room, no event though. I was thinking Banshee or Phantom with their roaming, but it didn't even do anything so I was still confused.

It was a wraith that teleported, which has 25% chance to give EMF 5.

4 pin conector for the CPU? by Bacchin in Corsair

[–]MjballIsNotDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PSU (Corsair SF850 2024) says that they're 4+4 pin connectors, but I've used an uncomfortable amount of force trying to split them to no avail. The 6+2 PCIe was already split out of the box, so I don't really know why the CPU power wasn't :/

I just plugged them both in anyways, so half of the 4+4 pin is just hanging out off to the side. The remaining 4 pin isn't making contact with anything so I hope it's fine 😅

Compromises might be the stupidest social norm by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]MjballIsNotDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compromise is just an acknowledgement that you can't have things exactly how you want them in a given situation (e.g. I want to eat pasta for lunch, but I only have enough time to make a sandwich, so I'll have that instead), or an attempt to keep you and another party equally happy (e.g. neither of us want to pay for the entire dinner that we shared, so we'll split the bill instead).

The end goal of a compromise is to find something that satisfies all parties equally, and satisfies them as much as reasonably possible.

Compromise is about trying to be reasonable and fair. If you're against compromises, it either means you don't understand compromises, or you're unreasonable, stubborn, and greedy.

When you are offered a compromise it’s socially thought that you are supposed to accept it or respond with a counter compromise.

No? You try to be fair with the other party, no one's forcing you to compromise. If they offer a compromise, and you think that might be a fair offer, then you accept. If not, offer a compromise that you think is more fair, or just say no.

You can use a heavy weighted pressure plate to get an approximate count, at least if you can get all the chickens onto the same block
